| Apparently you sold 300 tickets and sent the rest back. Returned tickets would then go on sale to Rovers fans. If you don't buy a ticket then you can't really complain!

| It's not complicated. You count the away seats. You subtract from that number the amount of away tickets sold. The number that is left is the total amount of cash away fans you can let it.
Or the Rovers way:
make everyone queue to one turnstile, let anyone in with a ticket or otherwise. Scratch your head and notice that it looks pretty full. Let the game kick off. Then tell the long queue waiting to go to the other end. When they get there, let the stewards and turnstile people mill around scratching their backsides and notice that it will take a long time for everyone to get in. Eventually, just to stop the moans, open up the second turnstile, which seemed to be as complicated as unlocking a gate and going behind a counter with a red bowl. When someone complains that they have got a twenty pound ticket for a ten pound end, just shrug, glad that the Rovers made an extra ten pound profit on every extra cash payer in the north stand.

| Have you tried contacting the club about a refund? Nobody should have to pay full price to stand in the South Stand (well, except Hull FC fans!)

I think someone did, so I was told, and was told that it was Wakey's problem, as that's where they bought the ticket from (which in a legal contractual sense is probably accurate).
To be fair to Rovers, Wakey fans tend to pay on the gate as the away support is not so big that tickets are usually needed, and the form of both teams perhaps made the crowd bigger than anticipated.
And it was nice to only pay a tenner

| We have stopped going to this away fixture after last year.
Getting shouted to stop standing every 2 minutes, pi**ed wet through seating, poor organisation, fans getting thrown out after 5 minutes for standing, the classic police escort of the away coaches with police advising to avoid windows due to previous incidents and the classic getting the fingers from KR fans as young as 5.
Reminds me of football matches
You know what your getting at KR now so there is no surprises.

Very true, i think in the future maybe the club needs to promote purchasing tickets for away games to ensure these problems aren't encountered.

| Turned up 25/20 minutes before kick off got in just as they kicked off. Was well annoyed that I could have gone down the other end for half the price and wouldn't have had to get my bum wet!

Is that the royal 'we'?
Has it occurred to you that the stewards might have insisted on you sitting for your own safety? As an added bonus people behind you might have even got to see some of the match.

| It was an excellent turnout from Wakey yesterday. I was sat in the North stand and there was a real family atmosphere, loads of kids and quite a few ladies (young and old) which has to be good for the club.
I turned up about 2-3 minutes late and went straight in so it's surprising to hear that people where queuing for 25 minutes at the turnstile I went through and still got in late.
I guess if there were problems then it shows the benefit of buying your ticket in advance from those available through the Wakefield club plus Wakefield get a slice of the pie if you do that.

Ah you beat me to it!
Getting shouted at to sit down every two minutes would imply that every two minutes you ignored what the stewards had asked you to do and with no regard to those seated around you stood up again! I can't imagine why the stewards would ask you to sit down again, the cheek of it!

The people that were stood up were at the top of the stand and there was no one behind them and they didn't do much about the safety when one of our fans slipped down the wooden steps that were like glass, they were nowhere to be seen then

once the game kicked off they decided to tell everyone who had been stood outside the one turnstile paying cash that it was full. stood at the south stand there appeared a fair few seats empty in the north stand all game. as a ground i dont think CP is that bad. decent atmosphere from the side stands and it strikes me as a good view from em both for the home fans. KR are hardly gonna put away fans first. that said ithe problems which did arise were terribly dealt with by the stewards who tbh appeared to have about 3 brain cells between them and thats being generous.
as for buying tickets in advance it didn't do a few people any good who ended up in the cheap end with full price tickets

| Royal we? no it was my party of 4.
To be honest we only ever stood up when it was nearly a try (as did the rest of the end).
We have never been thrown out but have seen lots of other Wakey fans thrown out for nothing.
The constant chat from the stewards genuinely stopped us concentrating on the rugby.
Although these factors are all small they all detract from the experience which costs £20 hence we (group of 4 in case your wondering) do not bother to go anymore.
Contrast to the Hull FC experience which we always go to.

It's funny you should say that because there were people stood at the back behind where I was sitting but I don't recall my enjoyment of the game being ruined by stewards shouting at them to sit down.
I was in the same stand, the steps were not "like glass". When walking down steps care should be taken especially if they are wet. I hope the person who slipped is ok, there are medical facilities at Craven Park for just such circumstances, did you report to one of the stewards that the person who slipped was injured?

There were quite a few in the North end that chose to stand up, as some usually do, in the corner so that could explain the empty seats.
Stewards are rarely mensa members, I think that is common to all grounds
It certainly seems like something went wrong regarding the away fan arrangements. I am sure that if you bought a ticket for the North stand and were told to go into the South, then the club will refund the difference, but I guess it will be difficult to prove at this stage.
Anyway, thanks for coming see you next time.
