Welcome back vasty, oh i have missed you, been on the yacht?
Most of them and sadly the ones that know more about RL than your mate!!!
Surprising to see you sticking up for Uncle Ted again, if only you supported Trin so passionately.
Abandon ship vasty, save yourself while you still can, MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ignoring the bitter waffle and the ludicrous Ted assumption - answer the question, who is this mega personality that told you this I'm intrigued a046.gif

Please don't lecture me on supporting Trinity, I don't mind blowing my own trumpet on this one YOU are not in the same class as ME when it comes to supporting Trinity, don't you dare to assume otherwise until you've given the free time and free services I have over the years. Like it or not I've done my stint, have you?

You only crawled out of the woodwork last year, where were you before that. The assumptions you and a few other late comers make has some on here in fits of laughter. Especially the Ted bit, if only you knew what a Ted critic I've been in the past and the run ins I've had in the past with cuddly Di over it - lost count of the bans I received on the original forum. The Richardsons would have gladly put a hit out on me at one point I suspect. Of course this was in the days when Ted was still the hero of the fickle, bit like AG is now.

Of course I assume I changed my stance on Ted because he gave me a free flat or two weeks in his holiday home or whatever scenario you wish to cook up. eusa_shhh.gif

Quote: kinleycat "As far as anyone could tell he took no advice from another shareholders, he took little or no advice from his staff, so I can't see that he would have taken it from a few hundred supporters.
As for the banks, it wasn't really the banks that were our problem.
It was the fact that we weren't bringing in enough money to cover our bills.
We hadn't paid any tax from our first winding up order, most of what money that came into BV was being trousered.
Its all been a bit of a smoke screen if you like, I still can't see that FPP would have done anything but delay administration, based on the level of incoming money against our debt, by a few more months.'"

Of course the banks were the problem - they will let you borrow money - provided they can see trading benefit for it. How do you think HKR retain a £6m debt and Saints over £8m??? It's because the banks can see that can make money from lending them the money and that they are satisfied that they will get their money back. We would have been able to do so much more if we had security on NM and a SL licence in the bag. Anyway, it's history now and there's nothing we can do to change it.

As for the ST - the idea was that we would have compiled our individual share holdings and, subject to getting enough (only £60k worth required and we had identified 1 or 2 people with £10k or more) we would have been able to force the club to listen - that was very do-able and was very much the goal when we started, so yes, a few hundred supporters would have been able to make a difference.

No you don't get out of it that easy pal. Where do you get off questioning my support for the club, I've earned my stripes whether it be SWAG, Squadbuilder or two fanzines I've been there and done it.

It doesn't give me special rights or make my opinions more or less valid but it does entitle me not to be lectured to over passion and support for a club I've been heavily involved with for ten years by you. Who the hell are you?

Your not tough enough or bright enough to bully me son, as for the mentally ill jibe that just shows how cheap you are.

So who told you, for the third time of asking?

Your the one making out your all that, putting yourself in a class above, so get a grip, just because you've posted 12000 (mainly pro ted or slagging off any detractors) comments means jack.
If you took the time to check your facts, you would see i have been posting for more than double the year you suggest, and just because i haven't been on longer suggests nothing.
Actions speak louder than words, and as has been pointed out before by others and myself, you rarely post anything positive and usually only enter into a post that involves your mate ted, hence the dig.
If your such a supporter of the club get behind them, look for the positive in what is being done. like you used to when ted was in charge.
If you can't see that you're a bigger idiot than i first thought.
You can ask as many times as you want, i don't have to tell you anything, and that's not avoiding the question, you know as well as i do people tell you things in confidence and i aren't willing to break a confidence for anyone, let a lone a plant pot like you.
So instead of living in the past as you clearly do, get with the now, appreciate what is being done to save the club you allege to support more than the idiot who put it in this situation.

No the banks are not the problem at all, our credit raiting and lack of income would have scared the pants off anyone.
Why when we couldn't pay our bills would we want to borrow anymore?
Would you have mortgaged your home, handed over the cash , safe in the knowledge that you would get it back? of course you wouldn't, and why? because nobody had faith in the club or more importantly the people/person running it.

I understand what you're saying about the initial idea about the ST, but given what has happened, the amount needed compared against the debt, and the amount of say we would have had, which i still think would have been largely ignored, all that would have been lost in the administration.

I think if we are spared by the RFL we are in a very strong position to develop as a club like how Warrington have.
If things had remained we would be on a slow spiral down like we had been since 2008.

Dont give up, im happy to be convinced otherwise, i just arent anywhere near being convinced that that is the case.
As far as i can see from what we owed, the fact that we didnt pay the tax man and we made a loss, we have nobody to blame, but our selves.

Oh the irony, you have no idea - you are a jonny come lately bandwagon jumper who since arriving on the forum has shown nothing but contempt for people who don't share your opinion on Ted - if there is a bully on this forum it's you.

It's you who has the obsession with Ted not me. The man ran the club for 17 years almost everything that is currently happening and has happened has something to do with him, it would be impossible not to - are you so thick you can't see that.

FFS grow up, it's nothing to do with being pro or anti Ted - it's to do with the truth, something that is an utter stranger to you.

Your child like attitude of allegiance is pathetic, you've turned this into a personality issue not me. My allegiance is to the club NOT Ted and NOT AG...CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?

I don't share your desire to put a positive spin on everything as if that makes it right. I believe what I believe live with it.

So I set myself above others do I so what part of this statement did you not get "It doesn't give me special rights or make my opinions more or less valid"!!!!

I don't care what you think of my opinions, I don't care what you think of my perceived loyalty to Ted, I don't mind arguing with you I'm no saint I enjoy it - but to question my loyalty and commitment as a supporter of the club is way out of order and I draw the line there - and all because I'm not willing to embed myself as far up AG's bum as you!

So for the fourth time of asking what was a valid question, who told you?

No you're not, you just don't listen - which is the point I made in the first place.

I await further personal abuse and other assorted nonsense. eusa_wall.gif

It doesn't really matter who is convinced of what - it's all hypothetical now anyway. I'm not saying we wouldn't still have a mountain of problems - as we probably would, but being able to secure finance would have been much more likely if Pickles hadn't called in the plans.

Without Pickles we would probably have been able to raise finance to pay the tax-man, but many other issues would have remained. The truth is that up to that point we were spending more than we earned in an attempt - flawed as it turned out - to keep us afloat until NM came available. The main point about NM is the vastly improved ability for the club to do business and raise income - part of the club's strengths given the current commercial incomes from the facilities available - a point which was true of the old regime and has only got better this year.

Why are we going on about the past when all our efforts should be for the future, Get out knock doors and get people to join the Lottery, instead of being on here, looking to argue, about past events.... icon_mrgreen.gif

Agreed, it only matters in a historical context now - however the past should always be remembered and put in order so we can learn from it.

If the 1000 turning up at the Cedar court is anything to go by then we are on the right track.
