| Do agree with Rebel does look like Ted wanted to sell high and buy very low again. Probably with the knowledge that there would be very little reinvested. If this is all true this ought to shake things up again on a positive note. If JK is willing to fight on to the end so should the squad.

| It seems pretty clear that JK no longer wants to be at Wakey, hence the job interview; well done to the board I guess, for holding out for a contract buy-out from Les Cats.
That leaves JK having put himself in the shop window - any club that wants him knows he's available if they're prepared to buy out the contract; in the meantime, it's incumbent on him to perform to the best of his ability, to keep his marketability.
IMO, the club should now sack him for breaching the terms of his contract and make a move on Trent Robinson.

You're putting a different spin on that. I think Wakey would have allowed JK the chance to talk, simply because they know what they owe him in real terms, and are decent enough to allow the guy the chance to try somewhere else.
He's under contract for another 18 months, though. Do we let him go for nowt? Catalans obviously thought he wasn't worth the money. Up to JK to hand their s to them now and look for a better contract when his time is up. Hopefully, with us.

| John Kear's loyalty should be to John Kear. As soon as anyone does something for a living, they have to look after themselves, and people who think otherwise are putting their own self-interest first. I doubt it is anything about being money mad, but simply doing what we would all do in his situation, and provide himself with some security and a new challenge. What do people expect him to do, not bother about himself and just find himself on the dole in a years time if we don't get a franchise?
He would not have applied for the job if he didn't want it, and if he is mad at the club for not letting him go, then you can hardly blame him, but on the other hand, he is also a professional rugby league coach, and I would expect that regardless of the Catalan job, he will do his utmost to carry on his coaching at Wakefield. As far as I know, he hasn't thrown his teddies out of the cot, and now that this has been resolved, I'm sure he'll go back to drumming his fingers and barking into his headset at Belle Vue. Maybe this will even spark an upturn in the season.

I can't help but feel that he has to come public and say that he was interested but feels he has to complete what he has started and get us to newmarket/stanley

I'd rather he didn't do that, since it would be a big fat lie.

I can't help but feel he should get the team playing decent rugby and focus on winning the next game. That's what we pay him for.
