| Tanginoa is a good player, but an excellent player, not often enough.
Mark Applegarth will know who is and who isn’t up for it. If they aren’t, why keep them?
More to follow that’s for sure. Shame it’s so late.

Podcast with MC and the HKR chap, explaining everything how why the deal came about. Having listened to the first part I’m more convinced than ever we have the right men in charge. From the sound of things possibly more comings and going’s, hold on tight folkes.

Yep I’m willing to back you up on that. The coaching staff now know who is and isn’t up for it. It’s very reminiscent of our early years in SL. Put a team together that can scrap, won’t be pretty but it might just work.

He’s been a passenger for a few seasons now, sparking into life just occasionally. When we had a much better team we could afford that but now we need players who perform week after week even if they are less spectacular.

| Quote: Pat Bateman "What es me off the most about this is not that fact of losing Corey, we don’t know his circumstances and what he or his agent wanted etc. It’s the fact that most fans were bleating about signing Shaul when he was offered on a plate, Shaul wanted to come, he was great for us when he played. He would of added great depth and competition to that FB spot. Instead we’ve been left with quite possibly the worst deal in RL history since Eddie Stobart sponsored SL for free.
I know we are on a shoe string budget but our preparation has been absolutely mickey poor clearly, and just smacks of pure desperation now, 1 injury to our FB and then we’ve had to offload our best talent to make up for it.'"
Listening to Matthew Shaw's podcast he said Dagger and Hall had the same agent!

Sadly I agree. Kalepi was on fire when he first come over. Signed a long term and probably big deal and we have rarely seen that player since.
He’s still good but in my opinion he doesn’t look as fit or as strong and looks to have lost some muscle mass gradually over the years.
If we aren’t going to get that Kalepi back then it’s worth considering a deal imo.

Yeah, I agree. We should have pursued the Shaul signing. When Max got injured, it was clear for all to see just how much disruption was caused and just how little strength in depth we had throughout the squad. It made the team look like it had been picked by drawing numbers out of a hat! Shaul would have just stepped in like-for-like.

What did you think about the bit near the end, regarding the CEO position, MC didn’t want to reveal too much, but indicated talks were progressing. Also the bit about spending £300,000 on Academy etc, didn’t realise it was that much, sadly he spent 10 years building it up, but relegation could damage all that.

| Is it any different from the days of Westwood , Ellis , Jackson, Woods, wright, Atkins , all going to pastures new . All this huffing and puffing and threats of walking away , been there done it and got the T shirt and still the club stands ,and will do long after the faint hearted fans have parted company . Let the club sort the playing side out and let’s us back them , because all the back biting and sniping in the world won’t change a thing now , move on and get behind the lads .

Leigh have a full quota.
And there is no way Sidlow will be leaving Salford. First choice, 2 year deal, team going well. Not gonna happen.

I’ve not heard it yet, I was going more on what I heard yesterday. I know things are happening both long and short term and people will be moving in and out. What I don’t know is who.
I do know that we are going to make our opinions known regarding the Academy but what effect that has is anyone’s guess. I’m

Doesn’t always work like that. In my experience it could easily happen just as easily as it won’t. Clubs and players do all sorts of things for all sorts of reasons.

They had all the off season to sort out the team but it would appear the main motivation was a reduction in the player budget. What they are now trying to do is cover their mistakes by appearing to take action but all this involves in bringing players on two week loans and removing our better players replacing them with who knows.
It would be good if they had actually bothered to put together a squad the we could get behind. I would suggest they are forcing supporters away and when it comes to sniping I would suggest you read the statement from MC blaming the supporters for not turning up in sufficient numbers.

Jeez you like to take the dark view.
I can tell you they are not trying to drive supporters away or covering mistakes. They are just doing their best.
I realise it will be a shock that you are not the driving force for their decisions but alas it is so.

"Doing thier best" is tame though isn't it.
They are frantically trying to change something but at no cost the club with no to little additional spend.
We are literally throwing the dice 1 more time. But even then Doing it on no money at all. If the new stand is going to make us into overnight millionaires why aren't we spending a bit of money in advance (or even borrowing to spend if we are minted for life).
Also, let's be honest we're in this mess because our recruitment has been shoddy for years now. So I think we have a right to be annoyed
