OK, so Vastman is a self-centred, selfish, egocentric, egomaniacal, self-interested, self-seeking, self-regarding, self-absorbed, self-obsessed, self-loving, narcissistic, vain, conceited, proud, self-important git.
That's fair enough but I can never see why anyone should be "driven away".

If you look back a couple of years there are far more regular posters on this forum than there are now and you used to be able to express an opinion without being subjected to personal criticism.

Tbf Facebook has taken quite a number of people who prefer to use that nowadays, quite a few I know who used to be on here just prefer the ease and access of Facebook, with it being on your phones, tablets etc. I even use Trinity's page and the Northstanders one myself, although I generally hate Facebook as a whole. It's also not just the Trinity forum that has fallen in numbers though its RLFans as a whole and you see similar threads about the situation.

Also for me, Vastman's been the same since I joined, so I doubt we can put the drop on his shoulders.

Who gives a monkeys about personal criticism in a chuffin virtual environment. How touchy can you get? They can go stand in a quieter corner of the playground.

I have always found Vasty rather interesting. He livens up this forum IMO.

Agree with this, Vasty is not the reason I don't post so much now, I can usually see where he is coming from.

It's more people like Pimp (just what is his/her agenda) and the one who recons he is in Aus and a couple of others.

Interesting is not the word I'd use he certainly livened up the Cas forum on RLfans, although I'm sure on this occasion he won't want to he can take all the credit for destroying it to the extent nobody uses it now having got sick of the unwanted, and unwarranted opinions usually sprinkled with a generous dose of insults, so forgive the genuine Cas fans that don't share those romantic views of yours of vastman being a lovable and likeable rogue who just wants to make a bit of mischief.

The Cas forum on here was dying years ago and the majority went over to the Nutjob forum ages ago.

Exactly, I can cope with the 'lively' forum members but WUM's and Trolls are the reason for forums like this dying IMO.

Probably more social media than anyone individual.
