you got that wrong mate. i haven't missed a game in years. that means abroad, at home and away, friendlies, challenge cup or super league and what i said was that they weren't rubbish. they lost 1 game on dodgy penalties and the other they won and controlled the game for 90% of the time and played some good stuff.

Don't think we will "miss" Atkins, because the thing with him is that we are always waiting for him to turn into the player we think he can be. It is the potential we are losing, not the actual contribution, and I would be happy to see someone out there doing the business in the season they receive the money, not some hoped-for season in the distant future.

It doesn't concern me anymore, two things do though.

1) will ryan give it his all for the rest of the season or not put his body on the line and become withdrawn as a player- ala richie myler.

2) who can we replace him with. TBH i think Martin is too slow now, we need big signing to replace him IMO. However if one that suits, both in terms of ability & cost cannot be found, i would put Gleeson in on one side with JD on the other.

Keeping TM may not be a bad call, he would give cover, both for 3,4 & 6.
But the quota space he takes up could be used in a big signing from the NRL.

Would be happy to see Martin go got enough 'older' players for next season and the fact that he was happy to cut and run to cas says it all for me. Would also be happy to see JD in the centres with Murphy as back up if he ever gets free of injury.

what is the point of bringing players through the youth system at the moment if we go running to the nrl all the time, theres no relegation. it only pees the young lads off, do it the saints way and bring them through

Very much so. If we don't see them as being able to play first team rugby, what's the point spending time and money on them? Give them a go, much better wasting money on journeymen Aussies/Kiwis.

not a centre we need to go fishing for either in my opinion, how many times have we all cried we need a stand off this year?? if we go to nrl now thats the position id like to see us fill, with back up from youth development as and when needed.

I've now been told by numerous people who dont have an agenda against the club, some who are fans of ours and from one of the players cousin, ryan to atkins = done deal.

50/50 on this one. I wont boo him at all, hes done well for the club 1 try every 2 games, we've decided to sell him, i dont think hes pushed for the move. So good luck in the future, BUT please put 100% in in every game coming or well....(we know what happens)
