Just to throw this in here, Londons first win also came against Leeds icon_biggrin.gif

They've made eat my words. Yes Leeds were awful, but who cares.

Superb!! Well done Wakey, a great result and probably the people's choice of opponents.

Exactly that, who gives a poop. We've been rubbish all year, we got our win today and it was well deserved. Leeds had some big players in their side and also had a man advantage for a good proportion of the second half.

Hopefully kick on from here to put some pressure on Cas but to be honest, I'm just happy with the win.

I’m no tactical genius, but I am telling you now that the absence of Lino has made the world of difference today.

That left edge was working way better than normal because they knew what Smith was going to do. Ashurst might have lost 2 yards of pace but he generally had a clue what was going on because either Max or Smith were going to do what they said they would in training all week. It makes a difference.

I also think that the same effect might yield benefits when Gale finally plays (this year or next - not the point).

French lad was good on the wing.

Max still can’t tackle legs and will cost us more, but his attacking is obviously his foil to his poor defence.

Dave ran his blood to water. Kersh was super industrious.

Very pleasing. But Leeds were rubbish. We still wont win loads but how good does it feel when it happens!?

Main difference from other games to me was urgency, in that we showed some, and that stemmed from Bowes. He should keep his place over Hood.

Wakefield were the banker to secure the first six on the trot prediction this season but I will forgive them because at last they have produced a performance the supporters merited. I doubt many teams would have fans who go above and beyond based on this season.

I`d like to say I never saw that coming.
But after the Cas game nothing surprises me from that Leeds team.
Probably the worse performance I have seen since the Agar days.
Without being disrespectful and considering you have not even looked like winning a game we should have won today.
Full credit to Wakefield who played with belief and desire whereas Leeds were so disjointed it was embarrassing especially as you had 12 men for what 20 minutes.
Sadly we have a coach who cannot select the right players in their right position and apparently cannot get the team playing to any structure.
Bet you and Cas would like to play us every week?
Well done on the win.

The difference today was that we played a simple game and played with confidence.
You can't underestimate Fifita's motivation but I thought Proctor led the team while he was on. They make a good partnership.
I thought Smith and Dagger did everything faster. They didn't do anything sparkling, they just gave people outside a chance. Not sure I'd bring Lino back yet.

French lad on the wing was important too. Did everything right. He wasn't TJ or Murphy but he just made good decisions and took his chances.
Hewitt put some great hits in, as did Croft.
I don't think anyone had a bad game really.

From Leeds point of view I thought Blake Austin did enough to win that game twice but was completely on his own.

I would add the name of Eddie Battye to those deserving praise.
He had a superb game.
Proctors best of the season and generally I thought they all played well, ok Leeds were rubbish but so were some of the others teams we’ve played this season and lost to!

I agree. I forgot him but actually he could be my man of the match.
He did long minutes and really made great yardage for us.
