| I would point out that Warrington are investing heavily on new signings from the NRL, plus they have several already on large contracts. This is why they are trying to offload players probably to keep within the salary cap. I could be that his demands are quite reasonable but not at a club with an already hefty wage bill.

If he’s asking too much for Wire to agree to I highly doubt we would be in the market for him.

It’s a shame as I think he’s a quality prop and is better than Butler and Bowden….

Agree, I think we are building Mulhearm up a bit too much. He’s a solid prop in my opinion and in an underperforming forward pack at Wire has stood out a bit. If he was that good then Wire would be willing to meet his demands I have no doubt of that.

The issue is the success of being called up to the England and England performance squads, his market value increases but this was whilst he was a top performer at KR. He’s then joined Wire as more of a rotation forward (imo) where the pressure is on and hasn’t stood out as he did in the more underdog role. Wrongly he’ll be expecting the big money deal that the likes of Wire can offer.
I don’t think we’ll see him at Trinity, although I was reading he was with our academy at one point which I didn’t know.

He did stand out at Warrington, that's why many of their fans don't want him to leave. Every time I watched them I thought he was their best prop.

Difficult to assess the Warrington players as the club is all over the place.
The difficulty for Willie, and any coach, is to decide if the player will perform in your team, regardless of how they are performing in their current team.
Plenty of top players don't perform after a move and equally plenty of average players can become the best at the new club.
Tough task.
