It's easy to complain after the fact but if Grix kick had been slightly longer JJB would have got to the ball first and it would have been all over social media.
They tried something and it didn't come off. Get a grip.
They put a lot of effort in to that game.

Huby put in a really big performance.
Pauli pretty much took 5 players on in every drive and still looked great.
Jowitt made a couple of big 1 on 1 tackle

You'll always find. The negative if you look.
We didn't give up like Hull have been doing.

It was a meaningless dead rubber that Cas would always want to win more than us, not the end of the world. The fact of the matter is beating Cas doesn't matter to the club anymore.

It wasn't that bad actually. We turned up expecting far worse I'm sure. Too many injuries to the guys during the game early doors didn't help matters. Some nice moments to cheer.
My only real peeve was stupid Randell giving away the needless lifting penalty on the 5th tackle and getting sin binned.

Although Huby did do some big minutes last night he did appear to miss a few tackles in the first half. I do like Huby, but just not quite seeing the same player we had last year. Maybe still not quite fully fit from his injury last year.

I do agree yo some extent, the earlier poster saying we need to spend a little more to strengthen, but that isnt easy with club budgets, though maybe the improvement arent too drastic.

Half back situation definately needs sorting, and would maybe look at the full back. One position i would also address is prop, OK, we have Fifita, England and Pauli, but i just think those back ups need to be better

I couldn't understand why Hewer didn't go to the screen for the BJB non try. It only takes a few seconds.

That's just rubbish.
We literally played with half a pack of forwards, missing Fifita, England & Hirst.
A late withdrawal of Miller, plus, losing Grix & Batch in the first halt and this against a very good Cas outfit.

What did you think would happen ?

To suggest that the club and players aren't bothered about beating Cas is just laughable or sad, i'm not sure which.

I like Huby and I am genuinely shocked he never got a chance at international level. He does seem to be carrying a touch extra timber now which seems to have slowed his passing game down a bit. It used to be quick and sharp. I know he is getting on a touch but it hasn't stopped Graham still doing it. I would say Huby's offloading game was equal to if not better than Grahams too

The last three or four seasons beg to differ, I don't think we even had this bad a run against Huddersfield. icon_frustrated.gif

To be fair Khlav, when Cas are running hot no one seems to be able to handle them.

On review it was a clear cut try and it is at our pain that it was disallowed. However the linesman incorrectly called a knock on so the ref blew up to stop play before BJB had got clear. The fact the ref had already made a decision (albeit an incorrect one thanks to the linesman) then defending players ease up on the whistle and don't make the chase. For that very reason he couldn't go to the screen. Had the ref not blown up, then he could have let play continue until the tackle was made/play completed then gone to the screen.

As for the second one, it was correctly called as a knock on by us so no loss.

Being beaten and not wanting to win or not the same thing.
I haven't watched a Cas Wakefield game where the players didn't want to win or didn't give 100% effort.
