| Great new, just 1 question. Considering the average attendance this year with the new regime, will 12000 capacity be enough, would a 14000 stadium be better?

Leeds CC and June Fender have incurred the wrath of the inspector and he has not minced his words about what he feels about their objections and the cases they presented!
We might start another thread with some lifts from the report!
Would love to see that report. It would show Leeds Council and Ms Fender for what they arr. Thanks to supporters from other clubs for their congratulatory messages, it means a lot to us.

| Yes the capcity was the first thing i thought of , also what is the car parking allocation. This has been a bug bear at Belle View for years, i hope there will be plenty of parking and not just for officials and corporate. We should be allowed to park using the retail units parking spaces on match day.

I might be wrong but I think its 800 spaces at the stadium and I would imagine there will be other parking in the development.

I seem to recall that the corners can be filled in, like Wire's stadium.
Am I making that up?

Pretty sure you're right. Think it takes the capacity up to 15,000 ish but finding the money to do it was the issue.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

| This is certainly fabulous news and for me I currently have a feeling of relief, the case seemed so strong that it just felt like a matter of time, albeit delayed matter of time. It certainly was worth the effort getting all my Hull FC and Hull KR colleagues to sign those petitions in favour of the stadium
Immense thanks to all those involved throughout the process, the sung and the unsung heroes. Also, good to note that the club have given recognition to the pre-Glover era for which the process started. Whilst feelings on Ted are mixed here, let's remember his legacy will also include being involved at the start of Newmarket.
Great efforts by SWAG, TRB and my favourite Rhino Well done folks and all at the club.
I've already been out celebrating in Singapore, does it matter that the beer was called Tiger? Also slightly amusing that I am with my younger, slightly naive colleague who used to be a trainee footballer at a professional football club. He tried to have (an immature go) at trying to justify to our Singaporean colleagues and hosts why football is far superior to rugby. I'm far more mature than that and just smiled. Some people will never have a balanced view.
It is a shame there are more deadlines to watch now, although hopefully mere formalities. There maybe delays in the build process, but delays and hiccups are something we are very used to here at Wakefield Trinity. I relish the day I first walk to my seat at Newmarket and watch our team become the force they were prior to my first visits to Belle Vue. It will be with a heavy heart and very fond memories that I say goodbye to our home of over 100 hundred years. Thanks for the memories.
Once the hangovers clear I think we should rally round and support the cause for the genuine and fair Cas fans. We all know too well the anguish and frustration for the highly controversial (and flawed) franchise process which binds us today. We as true followers of the game know how important the roots of the game are; the value of rivalries and true derbies. I feel it is highly fitting for Newmarket's opening match to be against some of our nearest and dearest.
Onwards and upwards. This is a great day for Wakefield, the District, sport in general and for rugby league.
NEWMARKET.

| Had a quick look through the thread but can't see any congratulations from Mrs Fender. You would think with her being such an upstanding pillar of the community she would have the good grace to conceed defeat and wish us all the very best!!!!
