For all the justified disappointment after tonight, that's the key, and will be the measure of the man. He isn't the first Wakefield coach to head down to London and come back with a fat lip. Let's see how he, and more importantly, the players respond to the gash they served up today.

| Also find it a bit ironic that we have been calling for a goal kicker all season now we have 1 we can't score a try

True, you've either got to laugh or top yourself. Is there another club/team that's more consistently inconsistent than us?

I'd safely say we are consistent. 2 good 40 mins this year at a push. I like the spin though. GET DOWN BV AS YOU NEVER KNOW IF WE'RE GONNA WIN OR LOSE!!!
Today it was clearly the old haunting issue of lack of pride and individual errors which doesn't point to gelling factors.

Don't think anyone is seriously going to point to "gelling factors" after the previous 3 games. There's only so long that can apply, and the team have shown in the previous 2 weeks that they have that understanding. Whatever the reason for this result, it can't be down to the gel any more.

Yes gelling isn't the problem when you've have seen how we've played in the last few games. I'm just gonna have to put this down to the team not turning up, it happens and it's happened to better sides than ours, the key is how we're going to respond against Cas.

"Raleigh is a waste of a shirt" ............... so 42 tackles in less than 80 minutes is a waste of a shirt?
Guess we know why you are not a rugby league coach.
You can hardly fault him for being unfairly penalised by Ganson for so called offences that numerous players from both sides committed during the game without receiving similar attention from Ganson.
It was a poor team performance by Wakefield and to single one player out for such harsh criticism shows that you are a waste of a supporter.'"
Its always amusing when someone appears to defend their mate!!!
Maybe i should re phrase,he is a waste of a shirt,to be more specific hes a waste of the number 10 shirt/prop.Makes zero impact when taking ball forward, runs onto the ball with the speed of an arthritic sloth, more often than not loses the collision.
I would imagine most of the tackling stats are up tonight ,particularly in the forwards, considering Amor hardly played and the oppostion had a glut of possession.
I didnt blame him for being penalised by Ganson.
If i was a rugby league coach i wouldnt play him at prop, hes a decent back rower, but just doesnt cut the mustard at prop.

| I didn't want to talk about the ref but typically, Ganson can't help stealing a bit of the limelight; that penalty against Raleigh for moving off the mark (1 step sideways) was, in and of itself, a total joke. Mr Ganson then added to the hilarity a short while later when, right in front of him, Kaufusi took 3 steps forward off the mark and it was waved on.
We wouldn't have won tonight if the game had lasted another 80 minutes, but really? As I say every week - all we want is consistency.

I've commented a couple of times on that call at the time and even now hours after I'm still gobsmacked, it sent a clear message out to all the Trinity players on the field and that was, you ain't getting any calls go your way tonight lads and I'm gonna even make stuff up a I go.

Yes, I will defend a player who in my opinion you singled out unfairly. I read no similar criticism of your so called star players who kicked out on the full, dropped catches, missed tackles etc etc etc. Hence I feel you are being unfair and there is certainly no need to stoop to even more insults.
As I stated, and most would agree, it was a poor TEAM performance.
And I think you will find Raleigh puts that kind of tackle count in on most games. Perhaps you haven't heard that old saying DEFENCE WINS GAMES?
The only thing I find amusing about your comments is that you call yourself a supporter.

| Sorry to disagree with Raleigh's Mum and Dad but, as I have said before, even disregarding the moving off the mark farce I too think he gives away too many penalties. He did add heading a ball to his repertoire tonight though.
Peter Fox was shocking, even allowing a little boy to out jump him on one occasion. Bring back Morton.
Southern spends too much time on the bench to be captain and but also too much time on the pitch in his current form.
How did Tony Clubb get Man of the Match? Gower kicked us to death!
AGAR OUT.

| I haven't read back through the thread but I hope the "Agar out" comments are jokes. Short sighted at best if not.
Poor team performance in my opinion. We'll see over Easter what the rest of the squad can do. For me, there are not many who could just take their place.
Just naming young kids for the sake of it is pretty stupid. They need to be ready.

| Somebody at the match told me that the players had gone down the day before and had stayed in an hotel overnight, if this is true then that makes the performance harder to bear. Think Mr Glover should be asking questions.
Lets get some young homegrown players (Wildie, Morton) in for the derby and lets get some pride back.
Cant have done much for team morale dropping Walshaw. Is Moto Tony still at club?

Walshaw for one should be on the pitch. At least he's tall enough to take some of those cut out passes from Smith that fly over Cockayne and Fox's head!
