| Quote: Pepe "I don't care whether, or not, Mathers likes the iptich. I'm not too sure about it myself. But, linking Tommy Coyle's horrific injury to the pitch to back up his gripe, is fecking sick.'"
Tommy Coyle was not injured because of the pitch, and he has said so himself.
And as far as Mathers is concerned, you can get worse grass burns on a dryish pitch any time of the year. Twitter is a nuisance when people start a message without getting their brains working.

| Quote: Stanley Cat "Thing about the pitch visting teams only have to play on it once and suffer a few grazes, Widnes have to play there every other week and train on the bloody thing. Should be banned and all pitches should be grass be they good or bad.'"
All pitches should have a good 1 inch of soft mud to ensure players don't get bruised is the obvious corollary.

| I can't understand why Widnes fans are so keen to defend the pitch. It might turn out to be a great thing, but so far we have had players with infected grazes, a player who is out for six months because he "seemed to catch his studs in the pitch", and the spectacle of players in tights. If I was a Widnes fan, I would be bothered, because they will get ripped apart when the fast teams come to town, and they themselves will struggle on a muddy grass pitch, because it will become alien.
Muddy pitches are a leveller. Looking at results so far, Widnes need one.

Betts makes Forrest Gump look clever, in fact if a moderator where to come on here saying NGB4c's email address was dennisbetts@thicknorthernmincers.com I would not be surprised at all!
