| Update on the Mike Harding/Ramblers Association rumour.
Rothwell Footpath Group (Affiliated to the Ramblers Association) have written a letter to the planning inspector dated 6th November 2011...
...that is it, oh, and it is a short letter!
As you were!

Whilst I’m sure there are a number of people, posting on here, who will be attending on the 6th, are there any other methods being employed to get people to attend?

It's on the club website, in the WE and has been sent to all the press as well.
After Tuesday we reckon we'll get some coverage!

| Just read a lovely and poetic rant on that other Cas site 'Wakey Planning' thread, total poppycock but poetic all the same.
Apparently Newmarket colliery is now almost a wildlife preserve and lots of ramblers and walkers who don't want to pollute the air by using their cars to drive into the Dales now use Newmarket as a substitute.
Apparently all Wakefield fans who say that Newmarket isn't used for fly tipping and say its an eyesore are being economical with the truth. There's beauty and serenity at Newmarket but no rubbish and it's not an industrial wasteland.
After reading this I felt moved, I felt ashamed!
So I did as the poster suggested and I went to Google earth and took another look at the site, I was puzzled by something, lots of speckles all over the site!
What on earth could that be, some kind of rare plant I thought, maybe a flock of rare wild birds resting in Eden like beauty, serenity and safety of this natural sanctuary!
Intrigued I zoomed in only to have my illusions shattered by the sight of hundreds of old rubber tyres scattered all over the place!
Give me a break!

| So cas have a thread on their own forum dedicated to the Wakefield & district community Stadium. The rumour of it being their new home must be true then or they're obsessed with us and our City

They make very fine substitute nests for all the Ospreys down there.

Due to stringent animal welfare regulations these days (PC gone mad etc etc etc!!), the tyres are there to occupy and entertain the large numbers of unicorns that graze on the vast and lush pastures of the newmarket plains.
Said plains are a real sight to see, as are the grazing unicorns, playfully tossing the worn out bridgestones as they engage in a bout of unicorn hoopla.
It truly is a wonderful sight!!!!
