If they had not announced it then there would have been no press conference. Silly time to announce the signing but nothing Atkins can do about that.

Brad Drew, Oliver Wilkes and Steve Snitch haven't said negative things about Wakefield that have been reported or worn their new shirt, and they're all leaving. It's just common sense on behalf of the individual.

I don't disagree about the comment regarding Kear, but that's the only bit I see as negative towards the club. There was the ground comment but he was asked about that and everyone jokes about the ground, even Kear has done it before.

Agree completely. Why would he do this? He is popular with the fans but is now putting himself at risk of taking abuse/being boo'd at the end of a great time at Wakefield.
