The other one who I wouldn't mind us keeping is Olpherts but he wouldn't be first choice and I imagine at this stage of his career he wants to be playing regular rugby.'"
It's why he left Leeds so yes regular game time is his goal. He'll be a good pick up for a top end Championship club. Still drops the odd clanger but finishes well and has a strong carry.

| Let’s not forget they have been up against championship opposition , if players didn’t look good I think we’d all be asking questions. Yes we now have financial stability but that’s not to say money can be used willy nilly and the club must feel that at present we have a squad that can compete at the next level , which probably includes a contingency plan if and when the right player becomes available.

| Is it just me that looks at that list and see's Thornley and Bowden as the gems you wouldn't want to lose down a plughole.

I'd keep them both but sometimes both player and club want to go another way.

| I’m a little surprised not to see Shaw & Croft on the exit list , obviously Powell sees in them something I don’t , especially as our forward pack is stacked with real quality

| I haven't seen a lot of Shaw so not sure.Croft gives of his best but looks Championship to me unfortunately.
Olpherts has gone well and been a good signing but in SL he tended to be hesitant and error prone when the pressure was on and maybe that's the reason DP has decided against keeping him.

Croft was definitely the one I was surprised by. Shaw I kind of get - he’s younger, bit of potential and worth a shot.

| Personally like both Croft and Shaw. We have a few centres contracted next year though so his game time may be limited. Shaw looks very aggressive and was unfortunate with this injury as he looked to be playing himself into a bit of form. They may both be loaned out next year, but are good to have around to draw on if needed.
