Well we all see things differently.
I thought we were a much better attacking team when he was at fullback - he didn't let us down at no6 but I reckon kaye would have been the better choice in that position today.

| Our problem is we only have two halves. Putting max,Kaye, walmsley in there is not the answer.

Of course he's better at fullback.
But Powell certainly considers him an option at 6. Commented on it in the post match.
I'd have to watch it back but I'm thinking Max got a lot of assists today from 6.

Jowitt went well at 6, the issue is that he's an excellent FB and we lose something from this position if he plays 6.

| Max is probably the 3rd best half at the the club and can do a good job there as he showed today. The problem is he is the best FB at the club by a very long way so by moving him away from there the team is definitly weaker. I would have gone with Kay but at the end of the day we still scored 40 points and won the game by over 20 so can't really complain.

| Sounds like a foot/toe injury for Lino, not sure how long that will keep him out for.
Wonder if we look to bring a new half in. Obvious option would be to get Russell early but looks like he's playing regular for Hudd's atm

Powell says in his interview he'll be fine for next game and he doesn't see the need to bring anyone else in yet.

Also a defensive 9 is not helping The amount of times we have been outplayed in the spine of the team this season is concerning and this is Championship standard

I would say it's expected, its the same combinations as last year. Gale will be retiring, Liam Hood will be phased out and if Lino can be shipped out for another as long as we get through this year then there no harm done over all. If we go into SL with the same halves then we are in trouble.

Finding two quality halves wont be easy.

| I think people are going to be disappointed if they think the club is going to get rid of Lino.

I'd be disappointed, I'd love to see him play alongside a half back who takes responsibility for game management. A younger version of Gale would do nicely. I don't get why anybody would want to ditch a quality half back who can change a game offensively AND defend aggressively and effectively. Yes, he could be more consistent...but I think that's coming along nicely.

| Lino has had his moments this year that’s for sure.
However, let’s not kid ourselves, we’re playing at a lower level and he still remains to be hit and miss.
His contract was renewed before Ellis took the helm, but if they were to release him, it probably won’t come cheap, and Ellis may want a return on his investment.
Whatever happens on that front, I trust Matt, Daryl and Ste Mills to make the right call.

| I suspect that DP may rate Lino higher than some of his critics on here.
I really can't make my mind up he frustrates me a bit like Miller used to but there's no doubt he's stepped up a little this season.
I'm sure we all know the half backs will need to be much better next season!
