More likely he'll end up at Hull KR if he can't agree a deal at FC, similar to many others who've downgraded across the city. Might make Corey Hall even more surplus to requirements than he already is at Rovers and give us a chance of bringing him home in 2025. Would prefer that scenario.

| On Corey Hall, enough time has passed to post this I think; the club let him go in a rush because they believed he was one head-knock away from a serious, potentially career-ending situation.
I don't know where they took that opinion from, but they wanted him off the books quick and HKR popped up with an offer.
My cynical friend suggests the rumour was started by someone called Heal Nudgell.

I've not seen that much of him myself.
Mrs EW says hes struggled for game time, due to more senior players in the centres in the last couple of years.
I'm going to the Hull derby before the Fev game, so I'll take a close look at how he plays, if he plays.
I will bw honest, I agree with Wollo, about Corey Hall. I also think Corey went straight into their squad when he left us

| Corey was looking a very good prospect with us. I also thought it was a bit daft when when our coach thought he should play second row. Whatever has gone on, his move to HKR hasn't been good for his career and development in my opinion.

Couldnt agree more.
I didnt get the move either to second row, though I get it when there are injuries etc.
At the moment at centre, Hull KR have Opacic, Gildart and Hiku, and even if he was utilised on the wing, which sone centres are, they have Ryan Hall and Burgess. They also have Evalds, but looks like hes gone to full back.
Whichever way you look, Coreys chances look limited in the three quarters.

I can't say whether the head knock is true or not but Hull KR did not 'pop up'. They'd been pursuing him for ages. They just saw the chance to take advantage when we needed Dagger.

| ?? "Popping up" was just a phrase.
They tabled an offer at the right time.
I can't say we've seen any evidence of a head issue with Hall since he left.
The person (senior), at Wfd who told me this is no longer with the club BTW.

I'm pretty certain Rovers would have picked it up by now if there was an issue.
Wouldn't wish that on any sportsman.
Also, considering how we've supported other players with long term injury issues, I feel it's unlikely we would just ditch him.

| Correct.
That's what I'm saying - the dots don't join up.
It just looks like the last coaching set-up made a big error of judgment.
Maybe the money was just too tempting, though the "head issue" was never made public?

| If I remember correctly Corey Hall started very well at KR and certainly scored at least one good try.The rot set in due to his perceived defensive frailties and he hasn't figured since, as far as I can see.If he could replicate the form he showed for us, and was available, would be a possibility.I think he picked up some injuries, but odd why it hasn't worked out for him after starring for us.

It wasn't money. They were clear that they needed a full back and felt this was the only way available.
Whether it was a good decision is arguable.
But I'm not sure we'd have stayed up either way so he'd have still gone.

| I must say I'd prefer Hall over Scott.
Apart from playing in the centres in round 1, Scott has barely featured.
It does look like Hall could get his chance in the Hull derby as both Gildart and Hiku went off injured.

At the moment I could see us beating Cas, and quite easily.
