| Looks like a project signing to me who may feature for the reserves as well as the first team.
It’s clearly exciting to bring in an overseas player but as others have said he’s only been playing Jersey Flegg which is basically u20’s.
What he does clearly bring is youth which we lack in our backrow and also versatility given he can cover prop.
Hopefully coming with some hunger to build a career and kick on.
Look forward to seeing how it works out.

He’s effectively a replacement for Windrow. It’s probably a big opportunity for him to have a breakthrough year.
You can’t beat having size and mobility in a package.
I am sure he will be working hard to impress and make a name for himself. Obviously one for the future.
Looking forward to seeing him play.

| Welcome aboard Toby. For a decent-sized lad, he has a good set of wheels on him from what I can tell.

| Jonh , don't think we are in a position to bring players to play reserves , first team. All our players will need to be first team starters and with all the experience already in back row this to me looks to be an ideal signing. Due to nature of game in aus , back rowers will always have a bit of power and pace

| I think one or two may be under estimating the comp he is playing in. We are a championship club and I believe many of the players in that comp could make it into many SL sides. In fact his parent team the sharks would wipe the floor with every team in SL.

He’s only been used in the u20’s not the reserves as far as I can see.
I’m not saying he won’t be a good signing, for 99.99% of us he’s an unknown quantity but I trust the new set up have done their homework on him.
Unless he has a wow of a preseason I think he will be initially used as backup initially.

Look this is only my opinion, but if Powel had not been hamstrung with some players already signed by Carter , I don't think Pitts and Ashurst would be anywhere near our squad, Whats the point of bringing in back up players ?
I am not saying those two may do a job in the championship, but they have had their day. If you are bringing a bloke all the way from Aus, he isn't going to be back up, that's crazy.

He’s a 20 year old prospect who has never played in a pro environment above u20s.
I could be way off the mark but I’d be surprised if he was in our strongest 17 at the start of the season given his so far limited experience.
Just my opinion.
As mentioned he’s a total unknown to 99.99% of us. Just managing expectations somewhat if only my own.

| I think you are overestimating our team and the league we are in.
A Jersey Flegg starlet is still going to be playing in our first team

| As a sharks tragic… I thought I might help here … before buggering off again… this guy played Jersey Flegg for Cronulla… (u21s) and for many games has been on the verge of Newtown Jets selection (18th man on many occasions this year) he plays in a position that the sharks are very well represented… and he looks a bit like a clone of Teig Wilton… good pedigree and great potential
