| London may be OK next season they have a very wealthy owner. Plus I don't see Salford being as strong as this season. Also I believe Cas are feeling the financial pinch because some of their signings don't look inspiring. Any club that needs to take Innes Senior on a years loan looks a bit desperate.

That's what was said last time by the amateur rugby league forecasters but they won 10 games and were very unlucky to go down.

| I think the best chance we have at a return is replacing Cas, that's more of a 'like for like' but with us having a few nicer features at the ground. It wouldn't surprise me seeing London finding a venue that ticks a lot more boxes than ours.

We are already high on the ground side of things, once stand finished.
To beat us on that kind of stuff they need to fill it.

I would like to see us play smart and invest for any quick wins for guaranteed points.
The LED advertising for example that very few clubs will have is worth guaranteed points. It will bring in some income and if used right improve match day experience. It’s just the cost outlay.
These points are what will put us above other teams in certain areas and could compensate for areas that will take longer to improve.

I agree, though I don't know how much they are.
And, now we are not on TV, it'll be a hard sell.

Talking of forums...if anyone is wondering where most Championship teams discuss their clubs, squad news etc...(Fev fan in peace)
Fev, York, Batley, Barrow, Swinton and Dewsbury tend to be via TotalRL forums as opposed to RL fans.
Halifax, Bradford and Doncaster tend to be on RLfans.
Widnes have their own forum at https://widnesrugby.com/forums/ and Whitehaven at www.havenfans.co.uk/
Toulouse do have a forum at www.rugbyforumxiii.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=76 but it's in French.
Sheffield have zero presence on a forum of their own that I'm aware of other than their fans' Facebook page which you have to be a member of.
Of course a lot of chat happens on those FB fans pages that most teams have (Fev and Bradford have at least 2 of these). But in my opinion you tend to learn a bit more from the old-fashioned forums such as this one.

As far as I know it's independent, but I think James Gordon (RL journalist, founder of LoveRugbyLeague.com and Widnes fan) set it up, he posts there too.

| The reason I ask is everybody is going to have to rethink the forum thing.
Lots of traffic being lost to clubs as was mentioned above.
The problem being, they won't be quite as 'free speech' as say RLfans or Facebook group. The club can't allow posts that are potentially libelous ...... like calling refs cheats etc.
When you say it on FB no one cares, on here it's watched and judged on its merits, but for the club it can get them in trouble.

| You can add the RL papers who have a grand total of 5 lines regarding the club. These mainly relate to the confirmed departures and two possible signings. I guess we will just have to get use to this because it goes with the territory we have found ourselves in.
