| And for some reason I think he was on Blue Peter. What I remember was his try celebration which involved him hurling the ball into the air.
If and once again I am relying on my memory the injury occurred against Batley in a pre season friendly at Belle Vue.

I recall being at the Willows, Salford, when Lampy had attempted another comeback but his knee gave up. I can still see him limping off the field. That was it.

| Mine too. I met him at one of the player reunions too. Thoroughly nice and humble guy.

He was a sensation when he played hooker for England R U .a player who could find a gap .Up there with the best 13 at Wakefield .Like a few year ago the team Lampkowski was in ,looked like it was going to go to new hights, and then got dismantled because of cash .

Yes. At the end of 1980/81 we ended up 4th in the league only 3pts behind winners Bradford.
During the close season we lost coach Ray Batten and Bill Ashurst took over. We lost quite a few players and ended up 1981/82 14th and relegated. Quite a slump!
Was it still Trevor Woodward at the top?

It's fair but I thought we'd answered the question so let it go.
He's in the squad for Friday so hopefully he is ready.

Big opportunity for Butler.
I expect Gale will play.
A bit harsh on Dagger who has done quite well for us but I think I’d edge towards Max if fully fit.

| Good to see that Max is back. We do seem to be pinning most of our hopes on his return though, listening to Applegarth he seems to have morphed into prime Billy Slater during his absence! I mean i like him and reckon he’s a good player but he seems to be putting a lot of pressure on the lad to turn our season around.

| Jowitt straight back in at FB for me. Dagger has been solid at the back for us but added nothing in attack i am afraid. We need that link back to create the chances for the wingers.
FB Jowitt
SO Gale
SH Lino
looks to me like a more structured attacking option than we have seen so far.
Dagger and Kay on the wings, and probably Croft and Pratt in the centres in the absence of Lyne and Langi. Though i wouldnt be opposed to Taufau in one of the centres, he runs strongly and makes meters but is exposed on the wing.

Blimey!! I think this is the first time I've ever agreed with you, PT
