The Hewitt one did as well. It's just a sign that they'll likely be extended on a week to week basis afterwards until Huddersfield need them. I think Mason is well down the pecking order there though so i can see him here for a good few weeks. The Giants have ridiculous strength in depth.
The Forber one didn’t. Guess he may go back now Hood is available.

| “The deal like all our loan arrangements lasts for 14 days then is reviewed weekly"
I guess it stops us getting tied in if we suddenly get some players back.

Just looked, it didn't.
TBH it could just be the phrasing of whoever put up the post, but it's only Innes and this one that say 'initial'. I'm not reading too much into it either way, but I'd prefer longer term loans where possible. Loan signings can be brilliant, or nothing, we shall see.

| It really did. Taken directly off the website...
'Wakefield Trinity can announce the signing of Sam Hewitt from Huddersfield Giants on an initial two-week loan deal.
Hewitt will link up with the squad on Monday ahead of our next game with Salford Red Devils on Sunday 19th March'.
But as you say it's immaterial. Huddersfield will call them back if needed, if they don't they are likely to stay with us. Doesn't help with longterm planning but thats where we find ourselves. In the meantime we need them to help lift us out of our considerable funk.

| There's no point arguing. Giants have said all their short term loans follow that plan. 2 weeks initially and then reviewed weekly.

I'm reading it off the Facebook site, in which case I'm right, I don't read the website tbh, so I'll take your word. It's not an issue, as I say it all boils down to who words them.

| Another Ex-Academy player of ours.....blimey you may as well rename yourself Huddersfield Giants Reserves 'B' at this rate.
Bet your Academy players are delighted your giving gametime to other clubs reserves players rathen than them.

He's not the best coach that's ever been in Super League but he's not the worst either.'" tbh despite what some say on here Applegarth is least of our problems
Most of the players we have were signed long before he was in charge, once he became head coach it would appear he had zero money to work with
Truly we could have mal meninga or Tim sheens etc but you can’t build bricks without straw , perhaps not signing Shaul was a bit of a mistake (although he hasn’t been fit to play anyway) but ultimately our problem is down to the playing roster.
Am sure he knew the constraints when he took the job - but realistically we have had between 5-7 starting players out pretty much since the word go.
The fact the club is trying to,wheel and deal to a massive extent after 6 games just shows what the consensus on the active playing roster is

Just saying these coaches are playing rugby from the sixties, just signing forward after forward .The over sea forwards they have brought in this season have got to be as a bunch the worst overseas signings we had at Wakefield in a long time. Every thing about the team is so slow .Have we made a 40 hard break so far this season ? At the end of the day the coaches are the people who get paid for finding and getting the players in Fans to on about no money ,but maybe spending it all on overrated oversea players and instead of looking round for a decent 6 should have been the first option .We are just doing what Chester did in is last two year bringing in any body in posions we have no need to fill

| But you answer your own question.
You don't like that they are recruiting forwards but then say the ones we have aren't performing. (Or are in many cases injured)
I don't know it's going to work but I'm glad they are trying.
Personally, if our pack can get on top it will ease things for the backs.
Though clearly, less mistakes and more urgency with the ball would help.

| To be honest if our forwards can't get us into some sort of decent position on Thursday on a school size pitch they probably need to look at alternative careers. This is the time for the halfbacks to come to the fore and show us what they can do, they should have enough good ball sets to work with.

| I’d have taken Mason at Leigh for a few weeks, one of our grunts out for a bit now and we don’t have a big squad
He’s had a couple of stunts at Leigh and has size and hits the line well - thought he’d kick on to be a decent SL player but seems to be injured a lot - hopefully serves a purpose for you guys

The frustrating thing is we have a prop who isn’t playing first team on a big deal (for us) and we let another prop go who played in the first team over him because we want to pay him a pittance….and now we are resorted to this.
This is before we think about the money we have tied up in a poor winger or 2.
I’m a bit sick of the old, we don’t have any money line…when we are spending significantly so poorly on certain individuals who bring nothing to the team.
