| No slight meant against the lad, I'm sure he's a cracking player, but a back rower who is excellent defensively is far down the list of whilst we need. Will he be dislodging Pitts, if not its a pointless signing.

| Sam is a fantastic player and will massively improve your squad.
You were supposed to be doing a deal for Olly Russell too once Jake Connor was back but with Theo Fages getting injured that is probably going to be off now.

| Hewitt is not just a defensive player, he has got good attacking skills too, and scores his share of tries. Earlier in his career he made too many mistakes and that limited his first team appearances, but if we hadn't have signed Rushton and Harvey Livett (no idea why we signed Livett he adds zero to our team and we have loads of cover for that position), Hewitt would probably be a fixture on the bench for us this year. Hope the move isn't made permanent as he is a player with a great future ahead of him

| I brought Sam from football where he was highly regarded to Rugby when he was 12 and then coached him at community, school and Academy level.
He has a great force of character, aggression and positivity which he spreads to his team mates. As has already been said by others he gives nothing less than 100% in everything and crucially the more the adversity builds the more he doubles down and gets stuck in to the opposition and his own team if necessary. I’d want him stood with me in a battle!
He has good footwork, reads plays very well on both sides of the ball and has an equally good attacking game as defence.
I don’t know if this is a compliment or not but Wigan have tried to take him from Huddersfield numerous times since he was 16. They (Matty Peet) saw a bit of Jon Bateman in him.
Anyway, I hope he goes well during his stint at Trinity

Looks to me that he can also play centre according to some reports, now that is a position we are struggling with at present imo.

Sounds to me we have brought in a square peg to fit in to a round hole again Smith a hooker who can play stand of ,This coaching staff have lost the plot big time more money wasted .As a post said ,a 6 with half a brain would have been better We needed a player to strengthen the team not a player were we have 4 or 5 players for that posion

So you know where this half is then?
Thought not.
There is no round peg at all, he’s been signed to cover Kelepi at a guess I was just pointing out he can play centre.
As for cost I doubt there is one for just two weeks don’t you? I suspect it’s a mutual favour, game time for him, cover for us.
I’ve no idea how you find a lose in that.

Don't know if we have extended his loan yet, but he has picked up a 1 match ban for that crusher tackle on Friday. Didn't see him play in the Salford game, but I wasn't impressed with him on Friday !!
We had other players cited too, but luckily no further bans picked up...

| Got himself a 1 match Ban, don't think he is any better than what he had, seemed like he was only brought in to cover the Proctor injury but would much rather Windrow was given a go

| For all the build up he got on this post I'd say he turned out pretty disappointing!
That's not to say he isn't or won't be a top player...just not worked out and not been good enough for me...you could arguably say he's had two big involvements in both games played that have been major contributing factors to our defeats...
If the loan is costing us anything at all I just don't see the sense in extending it further with Proctor, Tanginoa and even Windrow available in the next few weeks...

| Fair to say it’s not really worked out this one. Probably best to move on given players will be back by the Cas game.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that Mash wanted to extend his loan period, but that was probably said prior to the ban.

No need for me, Windrow, Tanginoa. Proctor are already employed by the club. Use them.
