Seems odd that someone who has been at the club for several years and chairman for a couple (JM) can be described as a new owner who I met last week!?!?

It certainly does.

That explains why it was Minard's statement about Willie leaving rather than Carter's

So just to be clear, there's no new owner and he's on about JM right?

It would appear not, and there's no magic money tree.

What does that explain?

Minnards has often done that.

JM was pretty low profile when he first arrived. Charged with sorting out the stadium meant he was pretty busy and focused on that.
Now that project is more or less over the line, I guess he has a little more time to spend on other matters and take some of the press-facing load from MC?

JM is the chairman

MC is the CEO

Speculating totally here.

JM is a well travelled man, far more so than MC. He will be far better connected so I’m wondering if he hasn’t put together some sort of consortium of which he is for now the figerhead.

He spoke at the dinner this week even though MC was there.
He also explained they split a lot of duties so he went to support the PDRL team while MC was at the academy game (think it was academy game)

Let’s be honest here MC has made it clear over the last few years that at the very least he’d like to step back.

So none of this is a shock assuming it’s true.

He’s done what no other previous owner has ever managed. He’s made Trinity looks reasonably attractive club. For that I’m truly grateful.
