| We have been informed on many occasions that the money is tight hence our somewhat lacklustre signings. The obvious problem is that we are still to start servicing the stadium loan which will further impact our finances. If we are relegated and we have to start paying the loan on a much reduced income stream it does not bode well for our future and the chance that the Director loans will ever be recoverable. It is something for those in charge to think about.

Do you just copy and paste that every time?

| No but sometimes it needs repeating for those who are in denial and do not want to accept the obvious outcome from relegation.

| Saw similar stuff kicked about when Trinity were relegated from the old first division - I forget when!
We went through some seasons where I saw the worst rugby I've ever seen played BUT we DID come back up so why do these posters say 'we'll never come back up'! How the hell do you know?! stop being doom and gloom merchants! we may go down but I'll still be there supporting them - will you?!

We have no money now so how do you think our finances will be once we start to service the stadium loan and we are in the championship. We did come back but it took us several years to rebuild the team. I know because like many I supported the team during this period.

Think it was '83-'84 season, 1315, when Wally Lewis didn't manage to save us..........bad times, indeed!

When we missed the cut for super league we were left without a squad. I think Belly, Billy Conway & JT stayed around for a while, but the rest were youngsters & cast offs we were able to pick up. It took time to put together a decent squad.

Scarlet we had no money then, and I would guess were already deep in debt.
We may not have money to throw about but I suspect our debt is more under control now than it was then.
I'm afraid it's a catch 22 situation. The only way to spend is with money we would have to borrow, that wouldn't guarantee success and the money would have to be repaid. How many times have we been down that route? We don't have large sums of money thrown at the club as others do, we don't get large crowds and at the end of the day, it's like everything else, you get what you pay for!

I agree, it took years actually and we had to endure some horrible stuff but we got back up eventually - with little money I would guess!

I would think the transition wouldn’t be as difficult if we were to drop down next season. We would even with our modest crowds in SL be able to run a mostly full time team minus some big earners.
I dare say we would see some fans returning on the terraces and it would be a refreshing change to be one of the front runners in the league. Of course I wouldn’t want us to finish bottom but I don’t think it would be the end of Wakefield trinity at all.

| I wouldn’t expect us to be front runners in the Championship
Teams like Leigh, Featherstone and Halifax are far better funded than we would be
If you think some of our players look disinterested now wait until they have to play Barrow away on a cold dark rainy night in March or go to Batley and play up the hill against a team who know how to play a slope.
Just because we climbed up once before means nothing, the games changed massively and the competition isn’t fair and even as it was in 98.

| I think we would be a part time outfit and middle table. There will be teams in the league with backers to provide the cash which we don’t have at the moment so there’s nothing to indicate we would be any different in the lower league

Highly doubt that. We wouldn’t have the backers but we wouldn’t necessarily need them.
We would have the largest fan base and attendances. I dare say some success of winning games would bring a few fans back.
We would receive a parachute payment I think.
The worst thing we could do is go part time especially first year down. That would be a huge error. If we go down we must set our stall out to come straight back up.
The best thing to do would be stay mainly full time (or your initial 21 man squad full time with rest made up of part time/academy prospects.
