| Quote: jonh "Most fickle fans ever.
Reading social media and this forum it’s laughable.
If you support the club, support the club.
So much negativity over a player that takes a big chunk of the cap and hardly plays and a lad who in truth has stagnated at the club and doesn’t get a game over 2 very average players.
Miller I think is a big miss if he goes.
Batch and TJ very replaceable.
Same “fans” should be blushing but will be giving it the big one when we stay up (and we will).'"
I'll support the club irrespective of the division they play in, doesn't change that I think we're heading in one direction and it's not upwards. Players leave, thats part of the game, and whilst we can say all we want about Johnstone not playing half the games, Batch being a squad player and Miller being poor over the past few seasons (not you) the issue is who these players are replaced by. I don't expect improvements, especially as yet again we are flirting with relegation so will be last pick for most players.

| But isn't it an opportunity for the club to recruit quality and to make a couple of the new signings building blocks.
Build a team around new signings and sell the club on that basis, Stoke a couple of egos.
Should we survive in SL my fear would be we continue with a hooker, stand off and at least 3 pack members that quite frankly are not SL material.

| Quote: lampyboy "The clubs a shambles and if the present rumours are true the club must take full responsibility for the contract situation.
You do know that contracts are agreed by both parties don't you?
I have no idea if the club concider any of the present players involved as major key players, but if they do why wasn't contract extentions offered at the start of the season. I would also say that if you don't consider the captain of the club and major playmaker a key player somethings wrong.
As above how do you know contracts have not been offered these can extremely private and long negotiations for a club and a player to agree as well as players having other options on the table.
Wakefield start every season on the back foot mainly because of the poor showing in the transfer market.
Batch I would imagine must be a money thing because HKR will not be much better than Trin providing Trinity can stay up.
It could be money it could be that he has been given better opportunities to play . At Wakefield I rate Batch but he has had his injuries and he competes in an area where we have similar players.
A club with no ambition or any intention of improvements sends the wrong message to the players and fans, loyal players become frustrated resulting in wanting away.
Change in attitude and directions needed, but I'm willing to bet nothing will change
Why not just sit back and see what develops in respect of players coming and players going.
Just what are your intentions for the club Mr Carter.'"
I do not think he has to be accountable to this forum do you?
My take on things is TJ has been loyal as have we to him, for a low budget club we need more appearances, Back row forwards we have a dearth at the moment, Miller I will be sad to see go although many fans have slaughtered him over the past seasons. Both he and TJ can leave the club with their heads held high as can Batch.
Others off contract will show we have some top earners leaving so who knows what the plan is for the club but your last point will be answered I suspect shortly.

| I imagine there are a few sensitive negotiations going on at the moment, so it can't be easy for the board to release much/any details at the moment, but the supporters are on a massive downer and they need some clarity as soon as possible.Perhaps after we get the Leeds match out of the way.

The problem atm, regarding incoming players, is that it is not easy convincing them to join us when there is the threat of relegation.
I think that the club should be 'cut some slack' with regard to incoming players.
All these 'rumours' about players leaving etc, my thoughts are that we wait until they are confirmed, there seems to be a lot of histrionics on this board atm. (what's new )

| It sadly does look like free fall. We had a massive clear out several years ago and are still in Super League. The difference this time is the shocking P.R. No information of plans and zero to give any hope. Anyone would think it’s a calculated decision to drop to the Championship, sell up, and head off to the sun!!
PLEASE give us some news or an update Mr.C. And Mr. M.

These rumours are 100% happening why do you want to wait until confirmed ?
Everyone knows that TJ has signed for Catalan and Miller has at Cas (replacement for Trueman who has also signed for Hull)
It's now obvious Batch is on the move.
I'm actually hearing that we are looking at Derrel opherts next season from Cas to replace TJ as he is out of contract and looks to be on his way out

Do Trinity need a replacement with Murphy, Kershaw, Lineham and Kay?

Fans of say Rochdale, Oldham, Whitehaven etc deserve far greater credit. Lets give the loyalty badge to anyone who's on here, or more importantly at the ground, next season if we get relegated.'"
It's a good point you make, everything's relative isn't it. So considering our 'success' over the last 60 years, then do we expect too much? Or, given the fact we've now been in the top flight since '99, and we've probably troubled the top 5 about 4 or 5 times, and reached no major final in those 23 years, are we where we are 'supposed' to be for a club of our size, and the financial infrastructure we have?! Also, it's about 3 years roughly since we went down to London, in 3rd place in the league, on the back of 2 seasons finishing 5th. Since then, basically freefall......

Concentrate on a stand off.
