I do rate TJ highly but his injury record and his defence put him behind the above

Ken Hirst one of the best wingers I've seen in a Trinity shirt, but sadly he was always third choice. Jan Prinsloo on a par with TJ for me. His tries to appearances ratio has not been beaten. Andy Fletcher was a good 'un also

if you haven't already seen the video of the 1968 "Watersplash" final I suggest you do and you'll see exactly what Ken Hirst was capable of. A great winger and decent chap as you say. Being at Trinity at the same time as Gert Coetzer, Berwyn Jones, John Etty, Fred Smith & Jan Prinsloo his chances of getting a run of games was always going to be limited. An unsung hero.
