On the way home last night the wife said as well as being disappointed, she was ashamed to wear the shirt and in 40 years of supporting Trinity I have never heard her say that before. Furthermore, we have just been to the Asda and along with me not wearing one of my many Trinity shirts, absolutely no-one else was either (and I usually see plenty), so I guess that just about sums up how the City is feeling today after that diabolical performance last night.
However, as true Trin fans, we will dust ourselves down and will be there for the Shudds game

I'll be there. It's typical Trinity - there is always the chance that they will put in that wonderful performance. Good years are when there's are more good than usual. Bad years..... well we won't mention those. I'll be there because there's always the chance it will be a good performance and we've already seen that this set of players can produce it. I must be an optimist so I'll be there to give them support.

I'm actually pretty gutted I'm going to be missing this one as I'll be away on my jollies - I'll make sure to keep checking the scores though. Lucky for you lot we will be looking forward to a semi-final so Wakefield on the Thursday probably wont be all that important to us so don't despair. I've enjoyed popping on here the last couple of weeks and having a read. especially Vastmans posts.
I did prewarn you about Gaskell, when he's good he's very good but when he's bad he's horrid -when he's not Mr sicknote of course. He is a more than capable player but you giving him stick will not help the cause.

Other than quote meaningless soundbites to me about "getting are ry bak" or "stopping immugrunts" I wish someone who voted leave could tell me just one tangible actual measurable way in which my life has changed for the better due to Brexit - because no-one seems to have been able to do that so far. Every single change just seems to have cost me money or made my life poorer in some way.
Perhaps Dunkirk Spirit could be the one to do it.........
