Great days brilliant music mid week, trinity and a good pub crawl at the weekends and Friday night.

| Who remembers Wednesday nights at the Unity Hall in 1963/4. Saw Freddie & The Dreamers, Kinks, Gene Vincent, Screaming Lord Sutch, The Paramounts (later to become Procul Harem) there. The gigs were promoted by two "wide boys" from Sheffield viz: Geoff and PETER STRINGFELLOW. Not very likeable chaps I recall at the time. The Sex Pistols appeared in later years.

A bit later I saw The Tourists there, fronted by Annie Lennox, what a night that was.

| What's available night club wise in the city these days.
I have great memories of the Mecca, intercon, moonraker heppys and one at alverthorpe but can not remember the name.
The pubs of the time had great characters.
