Probably payback for when Liverpool played that Spanish team, immediately before lockdown. It’s believed that one game caused thousands of infections when both Liverpool and Spanish fans mixed that night. Government was at fault for allowing that game to be played.

I saw a report that quashed that fake news. It compared the number of Brits returning from Spanish holidays during that period to the relatively small number of Spanish footy fans for the scouse gits game. There was a massive massive disparity.

Just heard on the news, Furlough scheme is now extended until end of April next year. That’s a pretty good indication that lockdowns will continue in some form until then. I guess sports crowds won’t be anywhere near normal until after April. I hope the SL and RFL are able to sort out a streaming service for the matches not on Sky. Free for season ticket holders home games, and a pay to view for away games and ppv for neutral supporters, Perhaps small crowds will be allowed, if so, the get your season tickets ordered, as I believe they’ll get first choice.

Not sure about that, depends on how vaccinations go, we shouldn’t confuse xmas being effectively over and where we will be end of Feb.

The Oxford vaccine is hopefully coming on-line before New Year according to the BBC website this morning, so hopefully vaccinations will really take off in January

Clubs have already agreed that games played behind closed doors will be streamed live on the RFL’s Our League platforms (app & website) on a pay per view basis, allowing supporters to watch fixtures even if they cannot attend in person – with home season ticket holders given free access to the live stream packages for their club’s league games.

In terms of fans attending, the start of the season may be a struggle but, hopefully, we will be allowed in before too much of the season has elapsed - ST holders would be given priority and if there was a lower "capacity" then probably some kind of ballot or rota.?

I read somewhere that MC had budgeted for 1000 season ticket sales and the numbers so far were very near that number. The ground should be able to accommodate that number and maybe a few more.
