Tupou is not a winger ... can never understand changing numerous positions to accomadate an injured player . We need a winger so play Kershaw if fit or why give him a squad number ..?? Tupou back to centre with Tom .... . The loss of Arundel was huge.... hope he’s not out too long , really like him .

I've said previously I'll reserve my opinion till 5-6 games in, but one thing I don't agree with is Tanginoa at prop. I think he would be devastating out wide.
I'm sure there will be changes anyway but I hope Tanginoa is moved not dropped.

Reminds me of the time we got Steve southern from the knights who came as a second rower but agar kept putting him in at prop, total waste of talent, and never saw the best of him.
He’s a second rower every day of the week and as said will cause all sorts of problems out wide .

Yeah, I remember 'Bluey' was it? and you're right, I think from memory he had one great game other than that he was mediocre, despite the reputation he came with.

Steve Southern never seemed to be fit and was a poor signing.
I agree though Tanginoa is wasted though at prop and would be devastating in the second row.

Stands out so much I can't remember the game, but he always seemed overwhelmed with the chanting of his name when he first came, from the Northstand, needless to say it soon dwindled.

Only poor signing cos he was played out of position so we never got to see him have a run in his proper role , unlike Anthony tupou who came over crocked in first place .
Thought the club Treated southern shabby .

Southerns game was the opening fixture at Widnes when they got promoted. Our 1st game on plastic and we were set up as fall guys as usual. The lads had to withstand a right battering on our line until we pulled away during the final 10 or 15. Massive following that night too.

IMO both were crocked players well past their sell by date that had never fully recovered from serious injuries before they signed for Trinity. Southern only played 15 games and looked overweight.
