Ie if say he plays more prop and gets selected in the dream team at Prop, do you still win? Or does it have to be specifically back row?'"
Can’t see 50p being a big loss

Generally I'd say you lose the bet as it stipulates the position but Sky Bet detail their rules as a void bet which means you get your money back.
Can't find anyone who would let you win it. Especially as the odds would be different.
It would have to be a manual adjustment by an operator so you'd have to challenge it at the time. If your bet was £10k they'd laugh and say no. If it was 10p they might give it to you to keep you betting.

Back rowers are a tough bet as there is lots of competition and as said they move positions.
Safe bet is more likely Fifita or Johnstone.

As someone has already mentioned, it'd be for that position only. If he's named in the dream team at Prop it'd be a loser.
It says 'others on request' so I'm presuming you could ask for a price on him at Prop?

| Thanks for the replies on the betting. 20/1 is great odds, but he's so versatile he could play anywhere this year.

Yep 20/1, when I first saw it I thought I would have a bit of it, but thinking it through, as previously mentioned, it will be a tough position to get in - effectively there will only be 2 slots available as they’ll give Sonny Bill a spot even if he is injured for 80% of the season...
The prop thing would be a problem. Really hope he plays second row but I have a feeling he will be up front a lot this season (IMO a waste of his running ability out wide but needs must)
Re Fifita and Johnstone they are both 6/1 for their respective positions, not that attractive, and I would be worried about their injury record before sticking money on them.

| Disregarding Trinity players for a moment, I recon Ash Handley is a good bet for Top try scorer and dream team.
Gale, Hurrell and Handley on the left will be a major play for Leeds.

Fifita was leading the man of steel voting for a part of last year before getting an injury at the back end of the season...
Surely Tanginoa will play in the back row?

Sort of my point he seems to pick up injuries and ends up playing busted - and has most seasons with us (correct me if I’m wrong there) mainly due to carrying the side like last season when he was up near the top of the MoS
I hope tanginoa does play back row but he propped a bit last season and with the amount of back rowers we have, I get the feeling he will be up front to get both him and others on the pitch. Especially now with the King injury.
On others, Poptart has a good pick there with ash handley, you can see Leeds creating a lot down that side. Bevan French at Wigan e/w for top try scorer at 18/1 looks decent imo.

I like the Bevan French shout. My only doubt is where he would play too. I don't know him well so need to watch him but they seemed to switch him around a bit last season.

| I also think Naulago will have a big year for Hull. He was phenomenal in attack last season.
I’ve taken a bit of Handley and Tanginoa. Gives me interest for the season...

Two pretty sound bets, Tanginoa is definitely under the radar at 20/1 imo.
20/1 for Naulago looks interesting but will Fonua be inside him and will they end up sharing the tries? Fonua doesn’t strike me as a wingers centre.

Anyone stood out in pre-season games so far at big prices? I see Tanginoa played prop again...
They’ve also added top tackler (Ashurst is 10/1) and top offloader (Fifita 16/1) markets in their player specials section

| I bet old Rugbypunter is a happy man today looking back at this thread.
I never followed my gut and backed the 20/1. Nuts!
