Think some fans are underestimating the amount of work he did on the pitch.Ok he was injured but that was down to the staff as much as him. I agree on all that. The difference a good 9 makes is underestimated. I'd like to get back to Wood being the spark off the bench instead of smashing him all game and then wondering why he can't sprint from dummy half like he used to.
Randall was unlucky with injuries. I think he'd have been really good for us with a sustained run injury free.

I agree, a 9 with a good engine and a hit-man so to speak in defence would be a great compliment to Wood - Someone in the mould of Aiton when he was with us would be great. Not sure on who is available, but I would be tempted to look at one of the quota spots if needed.

Also no doubt teams like Wigan who've gained Hastings, Wire have got Widdop and Austin, Saints have got the same combo but there's a few others I'm not so convinced about. Cas bringing in Richardson who seems to have not developed since his great start at saints, he's also a massive liability in defense, could work with the two youngsters, then again playing two inexperienced lads is a huge risk imo. Leeds have thrown a load of cash at a dude who's practically not played in 2 years, even taking into account Gales qualities,that's a massive gamble for them. Who's Hull KR signed for them to have 'left us behind at 6 and 7' .

No doubt a quality Hooker is essential , he's the guy that gets His hands on the ball the most and makes the calls where the attack is going, or if a scout is on etc, they always have to play with their heads up, looking for any weakness in the opposition defensive line to then exploit, they're just so massively influential on the game.
