| Think Tanginoa could actually play anywhere on the field the way he's gone so far with us he's been a great find by the club.
Regarding the rest
Walker - YES i would
Pitts- YES again
Tangata -Yes
Westerman -??
Green-Yes if he want's to stay with us
Escare -Yes if the price is right if not stick with walker & Jowitt
Anybody else ?????

| Quote: PopTart "I do wonder about second row.
Ashurst and Tanginoa are both outstanding but both play on the left.
If Kirmond retires it means we only have Batch for the right and I don't think he is ready to take the season on as starting Sr.
Arundal I don't think is the answer yet either.
So I'm wondering if we are thinking about playing Westerman down that channel so Arona and Crowther and possibly King are left to do 13.
Id certainly sign Tangata and I think we'd be a good option for him.
Green I like a lot but he has options so it depends if he wants to.
Walker, Escare and Hampshire are all options. Depends who signed first.'"
I think thats a fairly dated view, yes players have a preference but most S/Rs can play both sides these days, the games far less structured than it was. Also, Crowther can play SR as can Arundel, in fact that looks to be the way CC is sending him. That's five good SR's. Have we actually signed Westerman, last I heard he was Cas bound?

Well I am dated but we'll have to disagree there.
Kirmond coming back into that role proved it for me.
The only player I've seen be just as effective when switched is Arundal.
I don't see Crowther as a second row and Arundal, as much as I like him made the left edge defense really weak when put there.
Left side is more attack minded too. Right is more defense focused.
They of course have to do both but you get more attack down the left. Every team is the same. That's why Lyne and Kirmond are so valuable being good defenders (Lyne did a monster of work on Friday missing no tackles) but can attack too.

No worries, also forgot to include Koppy who would be in the 1st 17. So I'd be looking at a prop and cover for halves.

Not what I got told, you’re a million miles off if what I heard was true, who knows it’s a bit of a saga now.

| Just reading Trinity Heritage stats for the season.
We used 36 players this year, with 11 debutants (+3 more on their second debut).
Don't tell me the injuries didn't take a toll on the team.

I'm always skeptical of negative 1st posts from week old accounts.
Hey, we all gotta start somewhere but in my experience 99% of these accounts are made to do one thing and one thing only.
Happy to be proved wrong though...

I was told this by a former Trinity player, and by the way I have to start somewhere

| If I remember rightly we were alleged to have Josh Wood signed up from Salford which would make sense if we are letting Randell go back to Aus.
Also Pitts has definitely signed. He will be a good addition and is a real work horse and team player. A good replacement for Kirmond.

| I'd like to see the bulk of any available money go on a top quality half back. I know we have Brough and Miller signed up for next year but we have no other option for half and we can't rely on both to be injury free and in form. Although, Connor Bailey has looked like he might be on the cusp of being able to step in the first team this season as back up.

Not sure it needs to be a half back, a creative no 9 would be just as good though we’d have to change our style. We’d need to support the ball carrier far more than we do for a 9 to prosper, a real weakness in our game imo. However if we did so we’d be less dependant on getting it out to the flanks and thus be varied in attack and leaving Brough less exposed. Easier said than done.
Shame with Randall, had he been less injury prone I think he could have developed that role.
