| Not sure why it's any different after this game.
We were always unlikely to win.
We are starting to get things going. We are not there yet.
I have faith we will be.

| let us not forget that our coach has been dealt a bad hand this season injury wise and that fact more than anything has led to our season being derailed. I would suggest that now is a time for fans to rally behind the team and coach in our hour of need and not to gang up and start calling for heads to roll which just adds to the negativity our bad run has generated

| No for me. I know that Chris will be devastated by our current position and performances and I am not willing to kick him and the team when they are down.
Last night was always going to be a tough battle away at Saints and we need to be that extra man at Belle Vue next week for him and the team. We win and lose together.
On a completely separate note I have to comment on the wonderful applause on the 15th minute of the game from both sets of fans, put the game into perspective somewhat.

| I think with so few games left, not sure now a change of a coach would change too much. Though I am starting to think he has taken us as far as he can
By not getting hammered tonight could well save us.
If it does, then would consider changing things a bit for 2020.
Regarding long contracts, whilst it's good having a settled squad, I do feel at times we rest on our laurels a bit at times. There is a saying you dont move forward by standing still

| The worrying thing is we appear to have no decent structures in attack or defence and these are the responsibilities of the coaching staff.
Yes we have had a bad run with injuries but other clubs have structure to the way they play so that when a front line player is injured someone comes in and fits the systems pretty seamlessly,
Other issues for me are:
Conditioning - we just don’t look as well equipped to play 80 minutes as pretty much every other team in the league
Age profile of the squad - whilst it is good to have some experienced players in the squad, the average age of our squad is much higher than most other teams and I do think this plays a part in performance for some of them - they just can’t sustain anything like a full season and are also more prone to injury. Atkins is rumoured to be coming in (if we stay up) so is only going to add to this issue.
Lack of experienced assistant - I have said it before, to me it’s no coincidence that the first year we really struggle under Chester is the one when he doesn’t have one. I think it would have proved invaluable this year especially in dealing with the management of the situation around the injuries.
Again, all of the above are down to the coach who selects the players we sign and decides who is the conditioner and deemed we didn’t need an assistant to replace MM.
I have no particular axe to grind with Chris Chester, but some of the recent stuff that the team has served up goes way beyond what can be put down to injuries - frankly embarrassing, including some basic core skills required of a RL team.
Chris seems to have no clue how to fix things up and to make matters worse, part of the fan base seem to accept whatever tripe is dished up, because they support the team period and they believe that we will somehow find a performance from somewhere to win enough games to stay up Unfortunately, this faith seems misplaced, because we cannot defend properly and our attack has fallen off a cliff.
I really hope I am proved wrong, but if we do manage to stay up, a total overhaul of the coaching staff needs to be undertaken and strong decisions made for the good of the club and its future

| Pretty much on the nail there Tricky.
Not sure if Chester's the issue or not, but I feel he needs assistance.
For me, 2017 was by far our best season, and is it any surprise that it was the same year JK was there.
Dickens and Clogger have been there since my time there back in 2012 and 13, and back then there was a part time mentality then with training, with players done and finished by around 1pm. These days players at other teams are pretty much same hours as admin staff. Wasnt this one mentality Brian Smith was trying to reverse, and the players didn't like.
As for our current attack, I'm not sure what role Liam Finn has, but with how blunt it is now, and how blunt it looked at certain parts last year.
Makes you wonder?

| I cant believe just how many fans have joined a first time poster (probable Troll) in calling for Chesters head
He is struggling at the moment, no doubt at all but, spitting our collective dummies out after losing to Saints on their own patch is bloody pathetic.
Personally, I believe our fete will be decided on the last day of the season (against London) and the consequences of a loss that day will be catastrophic.
If there is any money in the pot and if its allowed and he was willing, we should get Kear (or someone of his ilk) down for a couple of defensive sessions and to remind the players who Trinity are.
We are in a hole similar to the bad old days of Tony "Casper" Smith and if we dont/cant get some help for Chester we could be in trouble.

Never mind could be Wren. We already are seriously in trouble.

And you’re happy with that?
Injury can only mitigate the collapse of the team so far the rest is down to other things most notably the complete lack of evidence that we are coached.
Very poor core skills to begin with
Skills that fall apart once under pressure
Skills that look laughably amateur under fatigue and pressure
Poor conditioning
Paper thin team spirit
No attacking shape or combinations
Absolutely no idea how to defend
Every KPI is at unacceptable levels
We’ve won something like 1 of our last 13 matches but the performances in those games has been dire
If all of the above don’t suggest we need new eyes over the team, new ideas, new disciplines and a new voice in the ears of the players then what will.

Agree 100%. Currently they're absolutely painful to watch providing no entertainment whatsoever. However as ive posted earlier at least 13 players will go back into SL, in fact clubs will be falling over themselves. Proving that we've got the players but the coach has lost it and just peddles the same excuses.

Hard to argue with any of that! I went over last night, I don't get to many away games 'cause of work, and I thought the effort and attitude were better, but the way we are playing generally is just depressing. A few weeks ago I would have given Chester longer, especially after the Hudds win, but he would have gone for me after the Wigan game, mainly to give someone else a fortnight to see what he had to work with and to have at least some time to at least try and make a difference. I still don't think London will win 2 games, but who knows, I just have zero confidence or any real hope that we will win again, but let's hope they prove me and all of us wrong......
