If we lose this weekend and the results don't go our way, we can end up 11th following a drubbing for ourselves and big win for the Giants.
However that doesn't mean I hold the same opinion as BOJ042 on where we will end up at the end of the season...'"
Equally if we do win and results go our way (Warrington beat Hull, Wigan beat Catalans - neither of which would be a huge surprise) then we could be 4th.
Positivity can go a long way, if you let it!

Waste of time mate, as soon as he posts something negative which assured will be his next post, somebody will quote him and you'll be back to square one.

The one thing for sure, this season, is that with Leeds and Wigan underperforming and with Salford, London and KR doing ok, it looks like apart from the top two spots, which look like being filled by Saints and Warrington, the rest could almost be any club in any order and we do have to rack up just as many points as possible in the early part of the season.
Although I would expect London to falter and would still expect them to finish bottom. ANY of the 10 sides (apart form Wire & Saints + Cas) could get dragged into the relegation battle and being of a nervous disposition, I'd rather have a couple more wins on the board and as much daylight as possible between Trinity and the bottom 2 or 3 clubs.
The opening day reverse at London could still prove very costly - at either end of the table, although, we have to play them another twice so getting ahead of them is very much under our control.
One thing for sure is that Trinity have been way too inconsistent in the first part of the season and dropping points against both London away and KR at home isn't the form of a top 5 club and although we would all love Leeds to fall through the trap door, you would expect them to turn things around.

It's been the usual Jekyll and Hyde Wakefield so far. I'd rather we'd been hit for 40 in our valiant defeats to Saints and Warrington, but picked up the points against London and Hull KR.

I tend to feel the same way - until they start awarding points per half, or for being a 'plucky loser' - close losses are still losses, and we have too many of them.
Salford look really fluent and dangerous - it will be a tough one to win.

| London are no mugs, great coach, players with a point to prove and a young full back who is a star. I can honestly see that 10 wins will be required to avoid relegation which is great for the game but nerve racking for supporters. Much better then when 10 wins guaranteed a place in top 8 play offs

| Salford at home when we’d just signed Tim Smith back was one of the best games I’ve witnessed in recent times. (Even though it was a few years ago). We’d been missing a real leader and he ripped them apart that day...

I'll take that.
Salford look really potent with ball in hand, particularly down their left flank and seem to be getting good numbers through the line.
This is by no means a gimmie and apart from Leeds and Wigan being mickey poor, Salford, along with London have been the surprise team of the season. Many, including me, had them down as strugglers this season but, they look pretty good.

| Wasn't able to attend - but listened in on Manc radio and despite the comically non-partisan attitude of the commentator, it sounded like a really solid performance, with Big Dave running the show?
Great set of results for us this weekend - and now looking forward to backing up against Shudds, which is a must; gotta pick the points up from the smaller clubs...

Did I watch that on Trinity TV last week, throwback Thursday or something..
Anyway, I thought while watching it I'd forgotten how standout crazy good Tim Smith was.
As good as they are, we don't have anyone like that in the squad, Miller is closest but we play a different game these day's, less reliant on magicians.
Is it any coincidence that I see loads of Tim Smith in Blake Austin.
