| Haha this thread appears every year... if you're not happy with the price then don't drink it. £5 is the most I would personally pay for a pint but it's definitely around the price I would expect to pay at a sporting event because unless you do what I did last year at Huddersfield and get absolutely bolloxed, they're not going to make any money by offering it are they as the majority will only purchase 1-2 drinks maximum. It cost me an extra £30 on top of my match day ticket but it was my choice to do so.
A deal might not be a bad shout though, 3 for the price of 2 maybe something like that on bottles?

| Drinks / food within an event venue will always come at a premium. They've a captive large crowd maybe 20 times a year maximum and need to pull maximum revenue from that crowd. Don't drink anymore myself so usually its one or two Bovrils for me. Suspect the mark up on the hot drinks far exceeds the beer after the ridiculous duties.

You do at Headingley for the cricket and it's dispensed on an industrial scale into soft plastic glasses so by the time it gets into your hand there's not much more than a half pint left. And they queue for miles to buy this without complaint.

| I think it's £5.10 a pint in Wembley, if you ever go across the pond you're looking at £7/8 a pint at Baseball \ NFL etc
It wasn't that long ago that you needed to be drunk to put up with watching Trinity but the last few years have been alrite

| I'm sure it was a fiver on boxing day as I enter the ground at Headingley I could be wrong though
two seasons ago when I was serving the Trinity beers in the north stand it was priced at £3.00 a pint which was well under priced really for an event day, and all depending on what was being served think its was carlsburg which isn't one of my favorites tipple and John smiths, that price was on to reflect the feel good factor in the support the fans had given, last season was £3.50 a pint in which you'd expect to pay,
so this season the price has been set at £4.00 maybe down to the easy of paying on the bar, last thing you want is fiddling with 10p and 5p change while there is a massive queue so an increment of 50p isn't all that bad there's not much ou can get for 50p anyway
£5 in corporate I take it this includes the service of it being delivered to the box
if I'm being served quality ale or lager I've not a problem, if its volume so you can get tanked up I'd suggest the local tesco for a 4 pack before entering the ground, I find while I enjoy a drink I enjoy it more watching the game and remembering it with a nice pint

If you're worried about the cost of boozing at games then just have the one pint per match. Make a one off purchase of this product form the club shop https://shop.wakefieldtrinity.com/produ ... 1507945550 and refill for each match from the local offy. Everyone's a winner

| I'm just happy that my pea-sized bladder has always put me off swilling ale at matches; I can't be d with going back and forth to the khazi throughout the game.
But for those of you who can't get through 90 minutes without constant refills, £5 a pint seems pretty much in line with beer prices in general.

Hope you had a great honeymoon MC and now it's back to business on here, I see !!

| 5 quid is very expensive. You pay that at Manhatten and Alchamist on Greek Street Leeds. 5 quid is ridiculous in a plastic glass in Wakey.
Sorry but it is.
