Quote: Fordy "No, but it does mean you've proven that you're not in a position really to comment on him. If you'd seen him play those games you'd know how well he did. The fact that you thought he played only 5 games tells me all I need to know about you!'"
You know nothing about me Fordy mush, that was actually the last time I had a season ticket; I attended every league game barring 3. The fact I believed he had only played 5 games is reassuring as it means he did nothing that stood out.
The fact that you're ignorant enough to defend Max purely based on the fact he wears a Trinity shirt tells me all I need to know about you.
Compare him to other SL fullbacks that year...
Jamie Shaul - Won the league
Luke Dorn - Finished 2 league places above us
Ken Sio - Relegated
Niall Evalds - Scraped through after winning the Million Pound Game
Max Jowitt scored 5, assisted 6, missed 26 tackles, carried the ball 249 times, made 1558 metres which gave him an average gain of 6.26 metres, made 6 clean breaks and finally making 20 errors.
Jamie Shaul – scored 14, assisted 7, missed 17 tackles, carried the ball 337 times, made 3057 metres which gave him an average gain of 9.07 metres, made 22 clean breaks and finally making 37 errors.
Luke Dorn - scored 14, assisted 21, missed 20 tackles, carried the ball 228 times, made 1606 metres which gave him an average gain of 7.04 metres, made 19 clean breaks and finally making 18 errors.
Niall Evalds - scored 12, assisted 0, missed 16 tackles, carried the ball 120 times, made 918 metres which gave him an average gain of 7.65 metres, made 11 clean breaks and finally making 6 errors.
Ken Sio - scored 11, assisted 4, missed 23 tackles, carried the ball 321 times, made 3028 metres which gave him an average gain of 9.43 metres, made 10 clean breaks and finally making 14 errors.
So yes, he played Fullback for us more times than anyone else at Trinity in 2016 but as per the above, did nothing in those games. I'm not saying he's a bad player, the lad has potential but he hasn't proved himself for me as a starting Super League fullback.
I would think this puts me in a position to comment
