I can't see past a Cas win - unless they play it safe and wrap some players in cotton wool for the big games to come.

I'm really happy with how we've played this season - but Cas are just better.

Cas have to be favs especially at home and have been the better team this season, but a win wouldn't and shouldn't be out of the question, as we've shown against Saints twice - yes I know we just lost away but we really shouldn't have.

I hope with just 2 games left this season that we don't go through the motions, which tbf they haven't done so far and it'd be nice to nail that 5th spot again.

I'll not state the obvious but the follow up is: By how many?

Seen no signs of that and don't expect it to start on Friday. Think the boys will want to sign off with two strong performances.

I agree, although tbf, we have done pretty well in the Super 8's.
3 wins from 5 and certainly competitive against Wigan and Saints, who are ranked 1st & 2nd in the comp, is a great effort.
I can see us beating Wire next week as they will certainly have one eye on the semis so, 4/7, which isn't bad.
Everything crossed for a win against Cas and who knows ?
If we can keep it tight for 50/60 minutes, we have every chance.

Can't see past a cas win if I'm being honest

Huddersfield have got Wigan at Home followed by Catalans Away. Can't see them getting 2 wins so 1 more win for us (with our massively superior points difference) should secure 5th spot and the extra revenue that comes with that might just be what we need to secure an additional player (or renew our current scrum half).

Sure I read that 8th place gets no extra then after that it is £25k per place so a (second consecutive) 5th place finish would secure us an additional £75k. To a club like ours that is massive so I would hope there will not be any complacency.

You are bang on, that is what we have got to gain by getting 5th.


We are no doubt fielding the best team available to us, however Cas look to be doing the same and will be going all out for the win. Much as I ike to believe, I think they will be too much for us on Friday.

AT least we are not going to see them pick up the League Leaders Shield or the first time in yonks!

Decent performance with as many as possible available for Wire

Worried that we're lacking a bit of size in the pack but we're due a win against these and I'm hopeful,

Only really missing Fifita as far as size goes, who'd, of course, be very handy but we've still got England, Huby and Pauli, who counts twice he's that big. Plus Horo, Ashurst and Arona, so it's not an area that concerns me tbh.

Physically we're big enough, do we have the heart for it? I hope so!
