| we are very lucky not to have lost 7 games in a rox - we are in a big big rut - I have been saying it since round 1 our attack is rubbish and needs fixing /dropping players
the bottom 4 is looming

Equally we are very unlucky to not be 10 from 11. Such have been the fine margins. Jog on now troll, the facade is becoming tiresome.

Wakey should be much better than us at bouncing back after defeat as you get more chances.

| when cc took over he put Jowitt at full back and the quickest back line in S L saying fear free rugb .The year after Gix came and with Fin .Got the first team spot straight away even though though they had been let go by there clubs. We are now reaping the results of those signings two players who are to slow for S L keeping young faster players out .The best rugby we have played by far is against Hull and Leeds when both Grix and Finn were not picked .A great team performance against st .But down to Lyne and Topou having great games and our fowards puting there bodies on the line.Arundel to me as not shone any thing that Lyne and Topou can not do in the and much faster. Try Arundel in fowards and lets see if that works.Just hope that Max,Rocky,Batch ,Annakin are given a chance if not can see us in bottom four

| Grix stays for me... He's leagues above Jowitt when in form which could return at any given time. I would like to see Batchelor in the side, home grown and hungry to get his name out there, always seems to bode well in a derby which is why Annakin always screams out to me in this fixture but I doubt he will play.

| Grix plays for me too.
The back row is a bit harder to decide.
I thought Horo had turned a corner but I wonder whether Arona is better at 13for this one.
Kirond and Ashurst then take the back row with Batch fighting for the bench place.
This time if I were picking I'd put Annakin on the bench above Batch...if we don't play Horo. Horo at his best is my preference though.
7 is a real dilemma. If Finn was just on AN off day then fair enough as we'll need his old head.....but any doubts over fitness (finger or otherwise) and it has to be Hampshire.

Why would you pick Annakin over Batch? (Don't want that to come across as a confrontational comment).
I would play Horo providing he is at his best, I've never seen such a difference in a player... how he can go from a top super league standard all the way down to a standard where he wouldn't make a championship side imo... it's not worth it in penalties and errors!

The problem with that is how do you know which of those two Horo's will turn up?? I assume Chester is looking at his form in training and deciding that he can expect to see SL Horo, but then we get into match day and Championship Horo appears.
Personally I'd give Batchelor and Annakin a spot for the Cas game, but it's not my job to make that decision it's Chezzy's so I'll wait and see.
I understand that anyone can have a bad day at the office but we have players waiting in the wings for a game and some of them deserve a shot after the performance on Friday night.

Well that's it really isn't it... CC obviously looks throughout the week to see who he puts in his side however even he cannot be 100% certain that come game day he's made the right choice.
If I knew 100% the best Horo would show up, he would be in the side for me.

| Agree but Horo has probably been sub-standard more often than not and may benefit from a week out of the squad. I would like to see Crowther or Annakin given a chance on the bench tbh, think Annakin played well in the 8s last year and earned his new deal.

It made me smile, if no one else. Very witty.
As long as you're not smiling come Friday night ...

Purely on ability and future potential I prefer Batchelor.
However,
for this game, where attitude, resilience and a bit of grunt will win the day, I think Annakin will give us more off the bench.
If Ashurst and Kirmond suddenly get injured and we need a second row for a number of games, I'd pick Batch.

| Completely understand Poptart, Annakin does have that "bad boy" look doesn't he and comes with a very aggressive running style.
On the back of this comment I would just like to let people of RLfans.com know that I have started a weight loss journey, most recently I divulged and gave users a quick overview on me and my physical appearance. I will be trying to turn 24 stone into 23, 22, 21 and so on. My goal weight is 17 stone by the end of the year, I hope you will all be supporting me in doing so and hope to see you all at the game.
The main reason for me posting this is to ask that people stop it with the "tanker the wan..." nickname at the game as this has really been putting me down.

Ey up Bren hope all is well mate
Reading it back I did waffle on a little bit Now back to the thread!
I do think if the lads show up with the right mindset, we can take the 2 points. I know the conditions were terrible last time we played Cas but none the less, we were right in there with a chance right up until the end and if a few calls go our way this time and we play the game like I know we can then it's more than winnable!
