| Pretty much agree on both parts there Wrencat.
I actually think that Leuluai is past his best and would be too expensive and probably a waste of quota spot for what we need.
Its a tough balancing act and maybe using Randell in the halves when needed could be a better option.
Good to see Finny and Grixy in world cup, but how much extra will it take out of their energy levels. Bringing in cover could be important for us, by the end of next season.

| Giving Grix an extended break could allow Jowett an opportunity to be first choice full back. It's up to him to take his chance.

Does anyone else think that Jowett could end up in the halves?

| Potentially, yes.
Though I feel his kicking game would need to improve.
I do think that Millers all round half back play has improved, and in time could play the Finn like role

If Miller can develop the other aspects of his game i.e. his organisation then i don`t think he will playing in SL for too much longer.
As an individual he`s the biggest attacking threat out of any halfback in SL by a mile when he goes at the line, he showcased a great short kicking game last season which is massively improved, granted he doesn't have much of a long kicking game. If Hull would of showed a bit of patience towards him, i wonder where he would of been right now...

His long kicking game is pretty good, he usually finds space when kicking into touch, he pegged a 50m drop goal under pressure a couple of years ago too. The only real thing we're lacking is someone who will take 40/20s and drop goals. I think we were bottom of the stack for both of those stats last year

I'm not surprised about the 40-20s because we generally just went for it, but drop goals could have been better.
p.s we scored as many drop goals as the loiners according to the super league website, i guess that's regular season, whatever that counts as.
p.p.s i was looking at www.rugby-league.com/superleague ... club_stats

Not sure what you were looking at on that link, but it says that we only scored 1 drop goal all season which was joint lowest with Widnes

Nah he's right, Leeds also scored just one DG and 3 40/20's , same as us. That site keeps erroring though, especially if you say click on DG to get most to least, Leeds disappears & atm there's 2 Wire teams and 2 Catalan teams amnd Hull KR pop up. Must be something to do with the 8's but I don't know where Leeds have gone from the table. You can see the Leeds stats when you first bring them up. 2nd team down and look across , he's right.
Saying that the DG thing doesn't really worry me too much.. The FT issue, although not bad & can be improved on next season. Saying that at the end of this season, really only Cas and Hudds have a significant amount at 11 and 9, Leigh got the next best at 7 and look where they are.

Like i said, i'm not sure what part of the season that table is counting but there are some really surprising stats on there and it's hard to find patterns to explain league positions. For example how can Warrington make the most meters but not finish in the top 8?
