| It is a tough one to call here.
I think overall in the season he has gone ok, but in the second half of the season there had been errors creeping into his game.
I do tbink he has had plenty of chances and would like to see Max get a run.
Sometimes when a player makes an error, it is a mental thing, and it depends whether Chessie thinks he needs a break or him getting back on the horse, especially with another big game next week.

I think Grix with a point to prove is better than a full back who hasn't played often enough.

| Well Grix played well throughout the game but made one hell of a mistake there at the end....
....it wasn't a great kick and his hand on top of the ball would have killed the game but not to be. Not sure what he was trying to do. Seemed caught between kicking and touching the ball down then slipped at the crucial bit?
Did not look like scoring most of second half..
Cannot see a victory at Hull or against Wigan so will be the end of season. Hope I am wrong.

| Yes, I blame Grix for that last Saint's try, but he also created what was one of the best trys seen at Belle Vue since TJ's against Huddersfield. His catching of the high balls was spot on. Bad mistake, but that the way it goes and we are still fourth.

| Grix for me next week and to say he will be over his mistake with a pat on the back just shows how some of our fans are so blinkered. Game next week too crucial to just put Max on the spot
Bet the team are behind Grix 100 per cent

Spot on Cheshire.
Everyone is gutted and probably no one more than Grix.
We were poor in the second half, maybe down to having to cover for Hadley being in the bin but, that was just agonising.
Whether to go for the penalty, instead of finding touch, was a massive call and somehow, you just knew that they would score.
Strangely, we are still pretty much where we were, win our next 2 games and we make the semis but, it's a real tough ask, tonight was probably the "easiest" game of the 3.

Sorry I'm not having that. I was sat in East stand in line with the line of the kick. It arced cruelly away from the line of his run...that's bloody rugby balls and our luck.
We played nearly a perfect game BUT...two decisions for me cost us the match. Not taking 2 before half time. I KNEW that would come back to bite us on the bum in such a tight game. Then going for 2, 45 metres out under pressure on a bit of breezy night...I didn't llike that decision and wanted us to keep the ball in our hands and push for a repeat set or 2. We are DREADFUL at making these penalty decisions. I think that's the 3rd game it has ended up costing us the match. So frustrating to play so well but lose with schoolboy decisions when you have the ball and time to think.

| Absolutely astounded by some of the OTT comments posted on here tonight about Grix.
It was only a few weeks ago many were commenting on his excellent performance against Leeds.
The guy made a mistake at a crucial part of a game,a game that lasts eighty minutes and within that eighty minutes many things done by individuals contribute to the final outcome.
Weve had a successful season to date and Grix has played his part in contributing significantly towards that success.
Im sure young Jowitts time will come, but i also think Grix has been overall very good this season.

| For me, going for the two there near the end is the right call every time in that situation. Yes it was far out, but it wasnt much of an angle, and a goalkicker of Finns capability, was confident it would go over.
I was stood directly behind the posts and when he initally struck it, the kick looked good, think the wind caused it to drift.
What we didnt do was back up the kick. Anyone remember on how Ray Price used to watch penalties, and the Leeds try at Cardiff, in 2007, rebounds leading to tries does happen.
What they SHOULD have done was take the 2 on offer before half time, and shouldnt have been trying to defend an 8 point lead for about 25 minutes.

Let's not talk rubbish. There's not a fullback in the league who wouldnt have dealt with that first time, or at least grounded it or put it dead at the second time of asking.

Well it was a tough call but "then the wind caused it to drift" was exactly one of the reasons I though don't go for goal, not that I possess clairvoyant powers and foresaw the post hit. I was more worried he would fluff it under pressure and give them possession...the last thing you do with Saints in that position. They are world famous harlem globetrotter game stealers in such situations. Distance isn't Finn's strong suit in goal kicking. The one to take 2 was before half time. I suspected that would bite us on the bum and, as in some other games this season, it did again. Hey ho. I was spitting feathers coming away but the insane comments of some, dragging our team and Grix down, have picked me up. I think we can still do this. As I live in Beverley I shall be attending one of my home games to cheer us on..I hope the team realise the true fans are 100% behind them and Grix plays for me. He might just come good big time if we all GET BEHIND HIM!
