My dad took me during the 1979 cup run, think it was against Barrow, anyway we won! But didn't start going regularly until the Wally Lewis season, where I didn't miss a home game until my mate cried off one Sunday. So I sat at home & listened on Radio Leeds to King Wally taking St Helens apart. I never forgave my mate!

My gran took me in the late sixties sadly I can't remember the away side but she never missed a game at home and most away, but HKR in the early seventies was the first on my own, a bit of bother in the South stand that day too.

Leigh at home early 70's is the first I recall, a home game a packed crowd with an easy Trinity win by 30 something. I was only 7 0r 8 and dad took me along. I remember Topliss having a cracking game and the big crowd was something to behold. After that I went periodically but remember a cup run of home matches very well and we went to every round, Saints, Hull KR and somebody else could've been Salford? not sure then we lost in the semi. Great memories of growing up in Wakefield.
