| Couldn't make it last night but from reading the comments it's clear that there are a lot of squad changes required for next year with a back up to Jowitt, a quality 6/7, genuine competition to Moore at 9 (hopefully Boubdouza), Sio is a 13, retaining Fifita, some creativity/impact from a new second rower, moving on some 'squad fillers' and maybe big contract players that for whatever reason have just not performed to the expected level consistently. It's unusual that a new coach comes in but doesn't look at new back room staff including conditioning.
After the CC semi final I didn't think we'd win a game for the rest of the season should have looked at the odds and thrown a few quid at it.

| Yes we are the least intelligent , rugby team , in the world . There is no douche about that . We have been for several years , the last two rugby bright players I remember us having were Terry Newton and Brad Drew. Our players stupidity is only matched by that of several of our fans who were stood near me who also have zero understanding of many aspects of the game and were in agreement with our thick players about running it rather than taking the two .

| I think our conditioning is poor and a change there is required. Having said that we used to train something like 5-6 hours per day for as long as I can remember to increasing that last year eventually player burn out had to happen.
Miller, Finn and Sio I dont think have missed a game, with only Arona suspension and Ashurt jaw. These 5 look absolutely worn out.
I think next year we definately need a new no7 to play ahead of Finn with another player of genuine SL qiuality who could cover 1,6,7 and maybe 9. As much as I like Moore I an starting to find him a bit unreliable. If that player was good enough to play 9 effectively, then I would play him with Moore on interchange bench. Lets face it most halves can play hooker effectively these days.
As for the back row, I am happy with Ashurst and Sio. To ease the burnout here, I would keep using Batchelor, Crowther and Morris at times to ease the burden and workload on the senior players.
I do partly agree regarding creative back rower. It just hasnt worked for Tupou I dont think. Meteo would probably fit the bill but with him going back Im not sure that will happen. Isnt Batchelor supposed to be a creative back rower?

Why do you bother?
Whatever your past you are not a Wakefield Trinity supporter anymore, so why continue the pretense?
You don't enjoy what you're watching and don't get anything out of it so why do you keep putting yourself through it?
You intimate that you have an "understanding of many aspects of the game" yet you display none whatsoever!
You talk tough on here yet despite regularly being just metres from the changing room you never offer your insight face to face with the players!
You use words on here like "least intelligent" "Stupidity" & "thick" to describe the players, yet you wouldn't have the courage or the conviction to hold that conversation face to face because the counter arguments would expose you!
You have the right to remain on here and continue your hate campaign and I'm sure you'll exercise that right but understand that you've become a joke at best and an irritant at worst.
Why do you bother?

For me our biggest handicap is still Bill Tupou. He gets put into some fantastic position but, similar to Finn, just kills it. Not been the same team since he returned from injury.
Then we've got the likes of Scruton, Arona and Lyne straight out of the Eorl Crabtree school of I couldn't break through a wet paper bag and if by some fluke I did then I'd drop the ball.
Bet Belly enjoyed it when Anderson dropped the ball going under the sticks.'"
Finn dies with the ball because he has no runners - Finn can only create for others he has no off the cuff game.
Miller after a good half a season has gone totally backwards.
Without doubt Miller has far more potential than Finn not least his age but I'd keep Finn next year and find a more reliable and readable partner for him.
next season is make or break for Miller, he needs to put in a full season or drop to the Championship (preferably not with us).
We have been woefully short of creativity this season due to an obvious lack of pivot players yet we are over burdened with alleged back rowers and centres. I know we nee a high utility value in our small squad but two half backs and a part time hooker was never enough. This was bound to catch up with us in the end, Miller and the aged Finn ever present, can't be good.

| The season is over it's been finished since the challenge cup semi all we can do is hope the quality of player/man is considerably improved for next season.
The players have showed quite beautifully in the 8s that they have been way out of there depth, count our blessings that we played enough teams low on numbers to qualify for the 8s
Anyone that isn't a season ticket holder and is still watching wow

It's strange that most people would have been happy if we had kept Miller & Finn fit all season and we have just about managed that but, I still cant get over how poor our passing game was, especially when we had made room on the outside.
There were plenty of fans bagging Lyne for getting tackled into touch but, for a winger to be taking a slow looping pass above head height, left him with no chance to score and our distribution from acting half was woeful.
Surely Moules has to at least be in the 17 for the Hull game ?

| I think the Finn baggers on here dont question his effort. He simply isnt good or quick enough at this level.
You dont just win games on effort.
Hes 32-33 years old and up to this season had spent all but 2 years of that in the championship and think that says it all. If he was at this standard he would have been signed by someone when he was younger and probably a bit quicker.

| Millers been playing with a busted shoulder for some time now so it's not surprising he has the odd poor spell in recent games and I agree that Liam requires someone to run off him.

| Hardly surprising regarding his shoulder.
He really does put himself about in defence.
Just proves the point that you need 3 recognised halves in the squad.

Believe Miller has now finished for the season and will have an operation on Monday so he will be back for the start of preseason training in November.

I think our last three sets of the game all ended with Finn tackled with the ball in hand when he had players lined up on his outside and that oft used other option of a kick.
Martin Ridyard was bagged on here a few weeks back as being no better than Finn. Wonder if Finn has ever scored a 90 metre try with Super League players trailing in his wake.

| Think what last night showed, is that although Finn and Miller did their bit, it means nothing if you are missing that bit of craft at hooker.
Sio is good but not a hooker, he's a tackling loose forward.
In hindsight, maybe should have switched Finn to hooker and brought Hall into stand off?
