A step too far today we were steamrollered and had no answer down the middle. This then left us in a constant state of not being set for the next tackle. This means players make mistakes due to the pressure they are put under and fatigue. What do we expect? We were missing three front line props and had Crowther and Yates on the bench who havent played much, plus Kirmond injured. They were knackered from doing a lot of defending and then made stupid mistakes. Some players will be disappointed with their performance and made errors at critical times. But, this happens in sport. No complaints from me I believe they gave their all even if in some instances they played poorly.

I for one knew that if Warrington turned it on, we wouldn't live with them. Wire are a class side and the final should be a good one.
In all honesty, our missing players probably would not have turned the result round but the score would have been closer I feel.

Got to be one of the most embarrassing threads I've ever seen posted on a forum...

Who on earth could have played last week? We were down to the bare bones already which is why Moules played! We were down to our last fit players today, so much so we had to name two injured players in the 19...had someone had to pull out the young kid (Senior is it?) would have had to play....

The lads gave their all today but were soundly beaten by a top quality side who turned up on the day with a fully fit squad and probably wanting to right a few wrongs from last season...after the early knock on leading to our opening try I can't remember them making a mistake until the back end where it got a bit scrappy...just too good for us....the final will be played by the best two teams in the competition...

We can hold our heads high...though Walton (other than freezing on the break) and Crowther were outstanding.....fans absolute class!

leedscat has an uncanny knack of putting his foot in his mouth, then when he gets a bit of criticism for his 'knowledge', he has his safety net by offering people out! Classy!
Wire are a club that play beautiful but are liable to have a blip.
We got them in the league but not today.
If we had lost in the league but won today and been in the middle 8s, would we have survived?

it wasnt your day today but keep believing..you av a top guy in chester..your fans today were a credit to the wakefield club just reading some of the comments from your fans after the match a very nice touch...just hope it doesnt dis-hearten the club for the 8s comp..
