It will still matter because if Salford get all their points back, even if we win on Sunday and they lose they will still be able to catch us bearing in mind our points difference is far worse than theirs. In addition, they get all their points back and win their game this week and they would be 2 points behind us with 3 games left (and that's assuming we win on Sunday)

| All the more reason for this farce to be expedited by the RFL; currently, the teams in an and around Salford, and Salford themselves, can't plan properly or have any faith in the table and their relative positions within it.
I can't imagine that they're waiting for the final pre-split positions so they can influence it with a points reinstatement - but the longer they leave it, the more they open themselves up to criticism of that being the case. The RFL have a spectacular knack for scoring own-goals in the PR department.

| just say they get all their points back- do you think it will be us that drop into the bottom 4?
I am thinking we are going to struggle to win any of 4 games left- our best chance is the 2 home games

I think it's the 14th.
The good news is that the good Doctor is planning to present it himself. That firstly suggests that he's been told he doesn't have a case. Secondly, it means the panel will be presented with a rambling incoherent rant for a while before they tell him to go away.

Salford, Cas and Widnes would all have to win one more game than us for that to happen.

My understanding is the 14th is the date re the crowd trouble at Huddersfield and 4th is re the points appeal

Also, Salford would have to win one more game than us out of two games, as they play Widnes and Cas. If they win either, the team they beat has to win one more than us in three games.
Bizarrely, our tough run-in helps, whereas a lot of the bottom four and our nearest rivals play each other. We don't have any four-pointers, and a lot of the results have a positive spin for us either way.

He was TJ last season against Saints when he ruled a perfectly good try a forward pass, and along with a dodgy offside try by Turner cost us the game.

| We need to win 2 out of 4. Not for safety but to get people interested in the top 8 games. Last season Hull made top eight but we're that far off they didn't get the crowds to cover their overheads so ended up up making a loss.
