Brilliant news, as someone who's only ever known super league rugby at belle vue I was the generation the Wildcats moniker was aimed for however, due to my Grandad taking me to the games they've always been Trinity to me. Just a thought will we still have the Wildcats as an unofficial nickname?

Great move! All my great memories are when we were known as Wakefield Trinity. Let's hope we get another headline soon as one we had in the 60's after we beat Wigan I believe, 'Trinity Triumph' I think that was the headline in the green 'un or pink 'un for the benefit of older members!

Relieved to have finally ditched this embarrassing tag line. Why on earth we decided to use a big yellow cat and the tag line Wildcats as part of the clubs image/name I'll never know. Maybe adults will actually wear our merchandise without shame in the future!

Ah, memories of the green 'un and pink 'un along with the performances on the field. Some of the entertaining rugby we are playing now is reminiscent of the team then. Going back to the old name seems fitting. I reckon it's a great idea. |
