On recent form, I'd take Miller over him all the live long day; a young player who has found his mojo and is currently playing out of his skin - against your description of Kelly, it's a no-brainer.

God knows what has gone on with his with us, seems to play when he wants and then is injured til the next big game. Has looked fat and uninterested this year when we've actually seen him.
Don't think Travis Burns and Chester are the best of bed fellows, he caused a lot of disruption at our place and I think it was Chesters decision to take the money and good riddance when he went to Saints'"
Have you seen Miller recently? Never his biggest fan but I can tell you now Kelly is not and never was "light years" ahead of Miller based on recent form. I'll give you better but not "light years"

| Thought Kelly stood out during HKR's purple patch last season, but his form (like the rest) dropped away badly towards the end.

| It's amazing how Miller now has become a superb player.
Last season, if people were offered a swap between Miller and Kelly, Kelly would have won hands down for just about everybody.
Although Kelly is a good player, we don't need to shoehorn a player in at the expense of someone who hasn't let the team down.
At KR, Kelly is the Miller and Campese the Finn, you put Kelly and Miller together and I can see disaster.
Keep the money in the pocket for now.

Is he a better player than Finn? Yes he is, but would he fit into our team as well as Finn does? I am not sure
I think I would be pleased if he did come but I can't see it happening'"
He's probably one of the best defensive halfs in the comp. regularly gets through 30 tackles and more a game. Getting him on the field is the headache. Plus who pays his wage? It's a bit squeamish.

Must admit, when I've seen Kelly, he seems to get stuck into the tackling side as well.
Maybe this is half his problem, he's getting too involved?

| He came back overweight from preseason. Never looked interested despite alleged wage he's on. Maybe one Hudgell is smoking out?

| Just because he makes 30 tackles a match doesn't mean he is a good tackler. It could mean his energy levels aren't great and teams target him then he is less energetic in attack. I think in some ways his injuries or lack of interest maybe down to this.
Miller when given freedom is better than Kelly based on the fact he now is making it happen for us. Also really the biggest reason I say he is better is he isn't made of china and has the heart for it. At WTW we can't carry passengers we can't afford to.

| i think Kelly could be a risk. We have had our share of sicknote players over the last few years i.e Anderson and Kirke. We can't risk any more. If we are definitely looking at half backs I would want one better than Kelly.

| I have been reading the same rumour on the Hull KR board as well as ours.
Their version is that yes, he has played his last game for them and is Wakefield bound, but not as a loan deal. As a swap for Jacob Miller.
If this is the case, then I don't think we should even go there. I would happily see him here though as cover, and would also consider using him as an impact player off the bench, say like Burrow, Obst and Godinet.

| A swap with Miller is only a deal in favour of KR.
I liked Kelly when he was at his best but as said above he's a Sammut. He's not the guy when you want to play structured team play. Especially when he is out of form.
We are better than that now. We don't have to make these kind of deals to take has beens.

| what's the point in finally getting Miller to the point of showing consistently good form and swapping him with a player yet to prove himself. I don't know a lot about Kelly but if he was that good he'd be making a name for himself wouldn't he?

| No that makes zero sense. We finally get Finn and Miller playing well together and Miller playing his best rugby for us full stop. We are supposedly prepared to risk all that and swap him for a complete unknown quantity, as far as working well with Finn/ the rest of the lads. Plus, if he's not willing to bust a gut at Hull KR, what makes anyone think he's gonna for us.
If there's something not right with him at Hull KR, why would we do them the favor of taking him off their hands. Especially when we're in direct competition with them as far as the League goes.
I'll believe when I see it.
