Do you disagree about McGoldrick - hes hasn't played top flight rugby for two or three years, was really poor in poor Cas teams and for someone who bleated on about Sammut being a bad egg do you not think McGoldrick would be the same?
As for Addy, we have enough cover in the back row and loose forwards positions, we'd squandering money in him. |

Although Addy would be an ok addition to the squad, didn't we try to sign him a few years back but he turned us down?
It was frustrating on Sunday but let's not press the panic button after one game.
As BS said, it was things that we can fix but would not be happy saying this in 6-10 weeks time, so probably got just under 2 months to get it right.

If a quality half back becomes available at the right price then in my opinion Trinity need to sign them... however the chances of that happening are remote. Need competition in this area and there isn't really.
Any addition must add genuine quality not cover. There is enough cover within the squad.
Foster is a free agent looking for a club so hope it's not him that this thread is referring to.
What about Benji Marshall (31) who is out of contract?

We signed Addy and WE (Elston) let him down by not being honest about our financial situation. We didn't tell him that we didn't have the money until the season was almost upon us and it nearly left him frozen out of the game. Bradford came back for him on a much reduced contract than he'd been on with them the previous year.
Quite frankly I'm surprised he's considering us again after the way he was messed about

Didn't ring a bell till i looked him up, then it brought back some horrible memories of last year. He'd be the kind of signing that would be more likely & one that would benefit both parties greatly imo. |

Well that's funny because that's what BS said he's looking for - a back up half who's game he can improve through the season.
Whether Addy is average or not is subjective - but you need to get it through your head is that A: there is no money for an above average half, B: Even if there was and one was available I doubt he'd be coming here. |

Well, that's the worry then isn't it. Unfortunately, we should have known this months ago in the off season. Both our halves would be back up at any other team. If we do bring in a half then they need to be a starting half, otherwise you may as well stick with craig hall as your back up half.

The club did know months ago hence Mr Carter's great effort to bring in Ryan Hampshire on loan and apparently Declan Patten from Warrington also before the start of the season. |
