He is often our strongest tackler and rarely makes mistakes or give penalties away.
He doesn't bust tackles but he takes the ball often and can do long minutes if needed.
Leigh away springs to mind. I thought he was the best forward on the field.
His fault for me is injuries as he hasn't had many but each one has been a big one.'"
I'm glad it's not just me then!
I do think the second half of last season was not his best, but I think injury, and in particular the horrific head injury at Newcastle, played a part in that. He's fit and raring to go, as they all are!

I don't think you and PT get it TRB - it's Anderson's turn for a bashing!
He's a good, solid, hardworking prop who has all the qualities out lined in the last two posts but it seems somebody has to get slagged off on here and he will just have to grin and bear it until some other player becomes the 'flavour of the month!'

| Do not know what the fascination with the size of props is.
One of the best props we have had in the SL era was 5ft 10 and around 16 stone 3.

| Go on I'll ask. Which prop was 5ft 10 and 16 stone 3?

I think he will be referring to James Stosic (Sausage). Also one of my favourite props we have had in the SL era.

Is 'Bulking up With Muscle' from the same sports science discipline as the 'Running a Long Way' programme?
It's great that so many experts are prepared to contribute their well structured ideas to improving the team and the individuals within it; I bet BS haunts this place now - makes his job so much easier.

It's not surprising that every now and then differences of opinions will occur on here, clearly we disagree on your view that he can play prop crisis or no crisis whereas I don't agree with you, you think one thing I disagree where is the problem?
I'm not in the habit of making strange statements, every post I make like the ones your good self make is made with a purpose, it all depends on how you interpret it, and yes I do agree with your point that he's unlikely to get killed which I'm sure you knew but felt the need to highlight the point, maybe I just don't see the point of him risking serious injury at this stage of his career

I actually thought he had a run at prop last season - not sure.
Yes it should be an absolute emergency but he looks tough enough to me - anyway what's the alternative Lyne!

I get what you and Poppers say and if you say he's raring to go then great. However I also see Bellies point, I could find you a dozen Championship players who would IMHO give you what we've had from Anderson so far.
I only bought this up because (and I may be wrong) but I'm sure you used to say that we can't afford to waste quota spots on journeymen and so far (and the so far bit is important) that's all he's been. He's not a bad player but was he worth bringing 12000 miles around the world instead of giving a British player a go. I'm not blind to the general superiority of Aussie players but in Anderson and many other similar imports in SL we are in a grey area.
I personally expect far more from imports than I do homegrown players - because IMHO if we don't then what's the point.
So simple question to you both really - do you think he brings enough to SL to make it worth the money used to bring him here that could be used elsewhere?

It was Wigan away correct but the 6-12 win when Halley scored twice. We were rated at 100/1 that day.
I think he got injured about 6-8 games into the season, we struggled without him then picked up again when he came back, including a win away at saints - when Cunningham broke his cheek bone with a dirty cheap shot in the tackle.
I thought he was very under rated - it was a shame he only lasted 1 year due to the Macedonian passport fiasco.

Sorry if you're offended by my opinion I mistook the website as a forum where opinions can be expressed by fans. I don't think BS would value anyone's opinion on here and I've never tried to give any expert opinion. Think he's a great coach and his son will be providing the expert advice in relation to strength and conditioning.
Not sure 'running along way' is always top of the list for props either as they play short spells that only total 25 mins-30mins in a game....not seen distance run on the SL Stats table but there are tackle busts, off loads, missed tackles are, where good strength and conditioning has a big part to play either way.
Andy Yates is slight for a prop at 14 stone 12 pounds and 6 foot 2 inches tall in the modern SL era whatever anyone says.... Willing runner definitely but didn't see him bust a tackle last season. Needs to have an improved 2016 season as Poor Stats in 2015. Good luck to him...

Kyle Amor seemed to improve his strength and conditioning prior to his last season with Trinity and he now plays for one of the top clubs due to the improvement in his game.

Run his blood to water that day,was a strong runner with the ball and like you say Cats,a big loss to a passport mess.
