Another that's been back in training for a few weeks,so hopefully a fully fit and focused squad member come the start of the season.It amazes me that the best signing so far,BS,is happy for Joe to stay but yet all of us so called experts doubt his Knowledge on his own players,let's just wait and see who's wrong.

I would play anywhere for Wakey as well but i am 48 and slightly overweight still it seems that is all you look for......he is shockingly bad. As for the pull the bloody ale bit........sorry mate i dont understand what that means

T he games I saw last year, we always looked better defensively with him than without him. He was most improved player under Brian Smith and as he says with a pre season under his belt can only improve. Hope all the ones knocking him have been and got season ticket so that we can afford to do the shopping in the international market like they all want! We have to start somewhere and this lad deserves a crack. Never held the club to ransom like others and gave 100%. And he can kick when the pretty boys don't feel like it.

I have been bought a season ticket already by my dad who is alot richer than me. If it wasnt for him i deffinately would not be buying a season ticket to watch the likes of Arudal, tansey, owen and lyne walk around with their hands on their hips. I'm pretty sure that signing or not signing Arundal would have had zero effect on the season ticket sales. Why do people always make that statement!
He isn't Greg Inglis, or even Michael Shenton, but he was better last season than Collis, Hall, Lyne and sometimes Tupou in defence.

I won't be overjoyed if he is our starting centre, but I won't be topping myself like some on here are doing.
He got better the longer he played under Smith. So I'm willing to give him a chance.

I'm with you pop tart, I believe in Brian Smith. Everyone will improve in the off season, joe will fit into his jigsaw . We haven't got ££££ for Greg Inglis so we need players who are cheap and have improvement in them.... I reckon Joe will do alright!

As the lad him self says he aint had a pre season for a few years so get the pre season under his belt get him fit and strong and things could be so different as for missing a kick under pressure did we not once have a decent forward miss an easy one at Wembley. Brian Smith must see something in Joe to want to sign him up and that's who you have to put your trust in if its good enough for him its good enough for me.

I agree, we have to start somewhere.. We can't expect to be signing top class centres from the off!!! Let brian smith get a FULL pre season in with these players. With 4 centres signed up, two won't be playing week in week out... And non of us know for definite wether we might or might not of signed a better centre.. If we have then some of these will be cover.which we will need, and is something we lacked last season..

My opinion, FWIW, is that Joe has been a very good player for us. I know it's not universally agreed by any means, but I'm happy with this one. He will certainly have competition for his place next season, which is exactly right.

The lad towed his nuts for us when push came to shove! I would certainly choose to have him alongside me in the trenches before a few on here - they just might stab me in the back before turning on the enemy!

I bet there's a few on here that ripped trees up in their illustrious carreers
